Covent Garden does have single rooms with one single bed. However, I'd be annoyed if I had booked a double for one and was allocated a single.

So in the opinion of y'all should we bother to amend it or just arrive?
  • If anyone has a room near central London on 10th, 13th or 14th Feb that they aren't going to use, please PM me - wanted to treat the wife, saw the price last night, but couldn't decide on the day. Now missed out.......:(

London Farringdon is now showing at £9 on 14th Feb.

Has anyone elso got to the payment screen and been told that their card payment has been declined? On the few times I have managed to get as far as the payment screen (before the server boots me off) I have been given this error each time.

Strange I thought so I called the bank to check my card is ok... They say my card is fine and they can see Traveloge putting through the transaction and then refunding me instantly!

Perhaps they are being a bit selective over who they sell to!

Mine denclined the 1st time, (credit card), so I pd with debit card and that went flying though, I did mine late last ngt, so just had to try card 2.
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Id amend it, even though you requested a db rm,;) it is technically just a request, so if they think their is only one person there is a very strong chance that you could be allocated a single rm, from a business point of view, joe bloggs single traveller, is allocated a db rm not single, mr + mrs jones want a booking.....ah.....only single rm left........ ah we know Mr Bloggs can move to single doesnt matter re price as its one price, mr + mrs jones have a rm, everybody sorted.

  • Thanks for the tip on Travel lodge - managed to get a £9 room, manchester, in december for my birthday!!!:rotfl::beer:
  • Thanks to my sister I booked last night about 5pm for sat 14th feb at ashford kent as we are going to eurodisney next day got 1 room at £9 and 2nd at £29 seems all sold out now (we had booked a bb at the cost of £110 for the 5 of us- now cancelled with no charge :-))but was most annoyed as we had booked in july 2 rooms for our return journey on thurs 19th feb at the cost of £39 each and now they are £9 as well Oh well we made a bit of a saving. It seems I was right to book last night as I had no problem. Good luck to those still trying to book
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

I got through after endless hours , ended up using 3 different cards to try and book overnight stay in York in Jan (£29) but every time thought had confirmed , took me back to some other search/amended screen.
It even went to confirm your password with bank details (seperate screen) before going off somewhere else

Who thinks I'm going to get charged 3 times but with no record of a booking on travelodge screen ?

I had similar problem. Money taken from my account but no booking confirmation. I managed to get through to the contact us page (eventually) they have no record of my booking. I've been asked to sent details of payment to HQ.

Came home after night shift, fancy a weekend in Edinburgh. spent a leisurely 25 minutes perusing the site haven't quite got edinburgh but dunfermline not that far away. booked and paid with no probs whatsoever. Takin full advantage of this I reckon, and as I'm not particularly choosy where I go I'll explore new horizons while its cheap enough to do so - will spend what I save at the shops
