i'm having the same probs...though i havnt been trying as long as you.
i keep losing rooms though and now i think the price may have increased on one (i'm trying to re-add the rooms lost due to busy server) so its now showing £29 after i've already clicked on the £9 link...
i know we shouldnt complain for £9 room's but this is such a farce0 -
my second attempt took ages and just said 'waiting for travelodge site' to the point it timed out and the rooms vanished into cyber space....grrI've just booked a room in Falkirk for 1 night. When I made the payment I entered the details and was directed to the secure page where you enter your card password. Entered that correctly (at least I though I had) and was directed to a page saying my payment had been refused...no 2nd chance of the password!
I decided to try again but after selecting the hotel and dates etc a screen was shown saying booking was successful..even though I'd not completed the 2nd attempt! Checked my inbox and I have a confirmation email and invoice! How bizarre!
I'll give them a call at some point to make sure that they have the booking confirmed on their system and will check that the payment was taken.
do they have a telephone booking line?0 -
I'm glad I booked the two london nights at £32 last night now. I've earned the difference by working all morning not sat getting frustrated! I suppose this is the price we pay for good deals which everyone knows about due to the internet.0

Well at last after 3 attempts with my card it let me book 2 nights at Widnes for £18. Bit of a farce though!Cath x

Couldnt agree more mate.gerrytunman wrote: »Been trying since 6:05am Waste of time. Got my rooms after a great deal of frustration. Then spent 3 hours trying to pay. Then finally Travel Lodge signed me out. Have now lost rooms!!!! Seems like a con?
If I ever get a room , I think I'll be like keith moon and throw a TV out of the window and trash the room :rotfl:The truth shall set you free.....................0 -
Managed to get a £9 room last night for Covent Garden over Christmas. Only thing was, in our haste we actually booked a double room for one adult. Anyone forsee any problems amending this? The price should be the same, right?
I wouldnt bother, Ive been doing these for years, and no one ever questions how many people are staying...you book the room, not the number of people...I dont think they do single rooms anyway....we always get family rooms whether i book for 1 or 2 or 3....Its possibly so they know how many towels to put inthe room..Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I don't know if it will be a problem. We booked Covent Garden last night and I could only get £9 into my basket when I put in (erroneously) 1 adult. As soon as I changed it to family room it was £32. Whatever I did I couldn't get £9 for family. In the end I went for two nights at £32 as it's a steal for four of us and we wanted to go there and wanted it to be that school holiday week. I had only priced it late last week and it was going to be £190 for the two nights.
It was doing that for us too last night. But I think that was a glitch as it showed no extra charge later (probably because the sale wasn't offically on then there were some bugs).
Thanks for all the advice guys, we'll amend it later when there's less traffic.0
