Its true, its slowing down for def! getting thru to 'book now' isn't the most annoying. I'm booked in Liverpool Street TL in February for my daughter and me, costing 23.50, with breakfast. TL took my money - eventually, kept going thru to server busy, but as yet have no booking confirmation which is worrying. :eek: (please be aware) Took a further half hour to get thru to contact us and further fifteen minutes for my enquiry to send. HAve a reply emial to this that it may take up to 10 days for a reply. then a further 10 minutes to type this post so others are aware of any potential problems

wonder if it would be easier to book at midnight? worth it for a hotel room in the centre of London? I reckon so, my poor old PC took bit of a battering tho!

Don't think i'm going to bother. have to be reliant on availability in school hols and it's just too slow!

Most of rooms I've managed looked at are for a weekend - Sunday usually.

Think I'm gonna have another look tonight see if any are still going, but I do work nights so getting in at 2.30 am may have its advantages. I've always wanted to go to Edinburgh so might see whats going off up there.

its a good opportunity to try somewhere 'different'

I think at this prices going on a saturdays night just somewhere, anywhere and it doesn't interfere with school days is great at £9 its really worth it...mind you getting onto the site would be a start!!Luckily my OH has 99% weekends off so it works for us!

I got through after endless hours , ended up using 3 different cards to try and book overnight stay in York in Jan (£29) but every time thought had confirmed , took me back to some other search/amended screen.:mad:
It even went to confirm your password with bank details (seperate screen) before going off somewhere else

Who thinks I'm going to get charged 3 times but with no record of a booking on travelodge screen ?:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

I've just booked a room in Falkirk for 1 night. When I made the payment I entered the details and was directed to the secure page where you enter your card password. Entered that correctly (at least I though I had) and was directed to a page saying my payment had been refused...no 2nd chance of the password!

I decided to try again but after selecting the hotel and dates etc a screen was shown saying booking was successful..even though I'd not completed the 2nd attempt! Checked my inbox and I have a confirmation email and invoice! How bizarre!

I'll give them a call at some point to make sure that they have the booking confirmed on their system and will check that the payment was taken.

Been trying since 6:05am Waste of time. Got my rooms after a great deal of frustration. Then spent 3 hours trying to pay. Then finally Travel Lodge signed me out. Have now lost rooms!!!! Seems like a con?
