not sure if you are still on here Ruby I hope you are ok and things are going ok for you.
just wanted to say I have paid my last CC payment today and am officially debt free! :j:j
its a lovely feeling ( even though I will be skint until I get paid again lol), I am hoping that we will be able to go away this summer as we havent been away for over 3 years.
only down side is DH isnt debt free so need to work on overpaying some his CC's
SH, YB ,IC hope you are all ok , love to all of you xx0 -
Hi Cas!!
That really is fantastic news well done you. What a great feeling you must have and I think a summer holiday is well deserved!!
Where have you got in mind?
How are your girls?
I am off work this week with a nasty chest infection hence my first real opportunity to come on here!! Life has just been manic...
We are not anywhere near debt free yet, but still going in the right direction and about to move our mortgage back to repayment after 20 months of being interest only!!to enable us to get back on our feet. Or mortgage lender has written to us today to say that we don't have to wait until our fixed rate runs out in the summer to move to a lower rate! and that if we sign can up before the end of the month we can move to a lower rate now!! So I have done a few sums and by moving to a lower rate we can transfer the bulk of it back to repayment and just leave the amount covered by our ISA on interest only. So that hopefully means that debt will start going down as well now. Phew!!
OH started a new job yesterday that we are hoping will bring us more money each week, so I am optimistic.
Life doesn't feel as tough as it did when we first started this debt busting journey so I think we have the balance a bit better now. We are still menu planning each week, and overpaying on the CC's etc. but managing to also have a bit of a social life and treat the kids now and again.
Anyway, that is me!!
Hope all the others are well and happy.
Off to have a cuppa.

Hi everyone, I am still about... who else is?
Debt busting continues, although wehve had to add to our debts as well, but where we have it has been at the lowest possible rate and not stretched us anymore.
How is everyone?
