  • Hi SH, I am so sorry! I can imagine how you must be feeling it took me quite a while to find this job. Hang on in there and go for everything you think is remotely suitable, you might be pleasantly surprised.

    Best wishes.

Thanks Ruby - currently considering my options as they say. Spent most of today with a friend of mine who has cancer... She said my problems put hers into perspective - how humbling..... I think it is more the other way round....

At least I have time to spend with the kids.... which I wouldn't if I was working. With DS starting high school it is quite nice to be around to support

  • Hi SH, every cloud has a silver lining eh. At least you get to spend this time with your children and friends. That is as they say is 'priceless'.

well my poor girls have swine flu  they are both really poorly with very high temperature and even with max dose of paracetamol its a struggle to bring their temps down. I feel really sorry for them ( me too I'm knackered! lol)
it sounds like there is an epidemic at school as they sent over a 100 children home thurs and fri.

ended spending more on my shopping as i had to stock up on painkillers , tissues, throat sweets , magazines! - essential to their recovery apparently :rotfl:

    hope everyone else is well
  • Oh no Cas, poor them and you!! Do you have tamiflu?
Sod the money at the moment, I hope you all get rested and better soon.

thankyou Ruby they are still poorly . we have decided against tamiflu as the side effects are not too nice. hopefully we will soon turn a corner with it. they are not sleeping though ( its always worse at night isnt it?) so we are all lacking some shuteye

    hope everyone is ok xx
  • Hi SC hope your kids recover quickly and that you manage to avoid catching it.

Well my sis is now safely married. She looked lovely and she and her husband looked so happy! The family were also fairly well behaved so that was good.

Now need to get back on track moneywise again....
