hey Ruby how are you doing? You and your family are still in my thoughts and prayers.

things are manic at work, its so busy . we normally have 4 nurses working but one has left , one is off long term sick. we have to cover 2 practices. so as well as being fully booked and doing extra shifts , we also have the flu cllinics to do ! and now the other nurse's son has swine flu and thinks she wont be able to come in this week. so that leaves little ol' me to do it all
Its DD2 birthday in 3 weeks and she is desperate for 2 guinea pigs. not my idea of a present but she is absolutely sure, do you have any experience of guinea pigs? do they bite?

must go and have a bath to relax

    take care xx

I've never had guinea pigs personally but they are suitable for children. They can bite - more importantly they breed like mad so check the sex!! The cages can be quite expensive and require regular cleaning...

When we had hamsters it was a disaster to be honest as I told the kids they had to look after them which they did at first but weren't particularly thorough with.... I know other people who have pets no problem - it probably depends how organised you are and how committed you are at making sure they are cleaned and fed and watered regularly enough! It was the cleaning that was a problem in our house

Ruby - hope you and your family are doing okay - our sympathies still with you

    thinking of you xx
  • Hi!!
I thought I would pop in for a visit and to let you all know I am still here!!
Thanks for all your condolences and best wishes, it helped really it did.

So... autumn, halloween and christmas looming.... where has this year gone and I dare not even mention money. We are still doing okay but have been really spending over the last few months. I think we went through a life is too short mentality and just threw all caution to the wind!! But the reins are well and truely tightened again now.

How is everyone else doing? I am going to have a good look on the christmas boards to get some inspiration and motivation.

    SH - any job news?

Cas - how are you and your girls?

    XX;)

    Hi everyone

Ruby i was wondering how you were, hope you and the family are ok x
Its been very busy here, DD2 was 14 last week, she had 2 guinea pigs for her birthday, Dora the explorer and snuggles, they were lovely however it turned out that Dora was actually Dennis! so we have taken him back but we dont know if snuggles is pregnant or not
I am working quite a few more hours at the moment to cover sickness , the money is great for xmas but I am cream crackered . we have a lot of birthdays between now and xmas plus a baptism ( my DD's are going to be godparents :T which they are really looking forward to) but its an expensive time.

SH hows the job going? hope its ok , must pop onto your diary to catch up

Tony nice to hear from you , sorry I didnt reply to your pm, I meant to :o hope you are ok

well up early as DH is snoring, might see if i can snooze on the sofa for half an hour x
