well i like gertrude, its a name we always use when we are messing about, actually cuthbert comes a close second lol
tea last night- a culinary delight lol. he made chicken and a potato rosti which had every conceivable thing out of the fridge in it, such as spinach bacon peas cheese onion mushroom peppers- anyway we all ate it and we are still upright :rotfl:
still loads of snow but thankfully most of the main roads are clear now, so have done a bit of shopping on the way home tonight.
good luck tomorrow ruby hope it goes well tomorrowx

What a week so far.
Day four of my new job and I haven't left home other than to walk little one to school on two days. DS went to school for the first time this week and finally we are starting to see a thaw!! Although more heavy SNOW is forecast tonight!!
DD doesnt need to be at school until 10am (if they open) tomorrow, so at least we get a bit of a slow start to the day.
Oh!! and DH has called three times today to say he has man flu (oops I mean a cold). :rotfl: :rotfl:
I want some sun please??
How is everyone else doing?

Day off today and it is, yes you guessed it snowing!! DH is off work sick, which is very rare for him so I do feel sorry. The trouble is one day of sick and he doesn't get his attendance bonus which is £100 a week, so next week we will be £100 down. It really, really annoys me because without that bonus his wages would be so rubbish, but a simple day off (the first in absolutely ages, more than a year, maybe even two) and he nearly loses a third of his weekly net wage.
Sorry to moan ladies, but it is a killer when things are so tight anyway. I don't feel like I can say it to him obviously because the poor guy is sick,  .
Ho hum.... onwards and upwards.
DD has a birthday party to attend this evening and she is really excited. I am having a girly night at a friends house and I am looking forward to that. So all in all... things could be a lot worse.
I promise to be more upbeat in future.

Hi Ruby - sorry you are down on your wages. Things like that are so difficult aren't they. My OH nicked my chocolate and I was mad at him and said I've told you to get your own (I was planning it for breakfast - bad I know) - He said but you've told me not to spend any money. Bless! I find they are one extreme or the other.
I'm now getting free amazon vouchers via bingoport - and he's given me HIS wish list! I've let him have 1 book, and I am having a book this week, and my son is getting a case for his new ipod! I got some CDs last week... It is fantastic I can get my shopping fix and it is not really costing us anything except some time...
Anyway bye for now, no more news yet on the job front - still hoping...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
