i have just eaten sweet and sour chicken and rice from the takeaway  I cant believe I did it. actually it was easy . I was driving past and before you know it. I was sitting on the sofa tucking in.
now I am bloated, tired and have tummy ache. (its only lunchtime !)
not very MSE is it? bad enough buying a takeaway, worse still scoffed it all to myself. I am feeling very guilty and I have decided to get rid of the evidence and pretend it never happened.
when we have tea later and I dont eat much. everybody will think I have super self control
anyhow, hope you are all ok. SH any news?
think I need a lie down :rotfl:0 -

Morning my cyber family!!
Cas, good for you it is nice to have a little secret every now and again!! I know that if I did something like that and told my family they would never let me forget it!!
YB, good to hear from you. I did make a decision and it was that if I didn't get home working I wouldn't go full time because it would just be to stressful with all the travelling. Also like you we don't have anyone to help out with the children.
However, when I finally got to meet with my new boss we discussed me having a workbase closer to home and he is more than happy with that. He also said which is very kind, that because the role I am moving to was advertised at full time and I am only working part time, he will keep the budget aside in case I decide to increase my hours after I have been in the role a while. So I think I have done very well because effectively by having a base closer to home I will earn more money. This is because I can now claim more mileage on my travels and every time I go to the office I work in now (which will be a lot) I can claim half the travel and all the parking which at it's most expensive is £7.50 a day!!! The other thing we agreed was that I would consider working on projects/reports etc. at home during the school holidays and being paid for it, if the need arose. So all in all, I am pleased and happy that I can still have my Fridays off. Also and I am very excited about this I get a laptop and a PDA. (I have no idea what a pda stands for and once I work out how to use it I am sure it will be very handy!!!!!!)
SH, what is happening with you? Any success on the job front?
IC, how is your second evening job going?
Ladies, I have to say considering the state of the economy we are all doing very well.

ruby well done you on the negotiations :T :T sounds great. I dont know what a PDA is either , I am itching to find out so do tell when you know:D
well I have managed to clean through
made some bread rolls (forgot to put fat in lol so they are a bit heavy) but they taste nice
made some drop scones and fruit scones
of course i have had to test them all
had a rummage in the freezer. its a bit like mary poppins bag seemed to be pulling stuff out for ever!
anyhow found some cooked turkey (from xmas) and HM turkey stock some frozen veg so whacked it all into the slowcooker for tea :A
I have a huge pile of ironing to scale. off to do that now
SH where are you??0 -
Cas, you put me to shame you really do, all that lovely homemaking you do every Friday!!
Yesterday on my day off I spent the morning on the laptop whilst builders took my kitchen ceiling down to repair a big hole because of a leak. Then I was very naughty and went to the pub with my DB for lunch. He has finished his second chemo and feels fit as a fiddle, but gets tired very easily so is still signed off work obviously. It is driving him mad having little to do and only being paid SSP!!
It gets worse on the NON DFW behaviour, because when DH came home from work and saw the state of the kitchen (the builders will be back on Monday) he suggested going out for supper. I didn't take much persauding I can tell you. It was a real treat though, and we couldn't remember the last time for four of us had been out to eat, so it was money well spent and we are back to our money saving ways today.
I'm off to fill in my sun holidays application form and send the tokens off, has anyone else done these this year? The four of us will be off to Haven for a week in may for £49!!! Brilliant.
Where are you SH? I hope the fact that you are not signing on is because you have good news on the job front.
Lots of love, ironing and various other tasks are calling.

Ruby I'm glad your brother is feeling fit and positive. I think the meal out seems like a great idea. you have to do it sometimes, b*gger DFW occasionally, its good for the soul if not for the waist line
we didnt do the holiday vouchers , sounds good (i didnt know about it). its a bargain !
I dont whether we are going away. we couldnt afford it last year but OH and DD's are desperate for a hot beach holiday. me too but I would rather do without and pay more off the debt. I understand how they feel though and I think I will be outvoted. what scares me is not just the cost of the holiday and food but all the outfits the girls will tell me they cant holiday without . now that is really scary
anyway love to all x0
