Sorry to hear your (potential) bad news irish chick.
I hope your IVA goes smoothly 1 step closer.
I'm busy busy busy at work but am also managing to get fairly sorted at home for Christmas and keeping on top of money things - only takes 1 unexpected item to knock everything sideways though!
Good luck with the interview Ruby, whenever it is, it's horrible when work becomes difficult.
Hope SH is having a good time away, even though it is work
Hi to Cas too, you seem like you've been busy as well!

Well girls, boss told me today will be keeping me on, but wont be getting my commission on any finance I manage to sell. Grand, I say! At least its a steady income coming in to make my repayments every month!
Was on the verge of a major panic. Took me long enough to get repayment schedule set up!
Xmas is happening upon us very fast this year. Im nearly all done, just wrapping to do now. Cards sent today, well done Me!!
Santa all done and didnt go too overboard at all and thats a first for me!
How are you all going? Feeling festive?!Debt - £10,000

Actually I am! I wasnt going to "do" Christmas this year after all the rubbish things that have happened but thought "s0d it!" My desk at work looks like a grotto and ALL the decorations are coming out this weekend. I have most of my pressies, done cheaply but with lots of care and attention and am very happy with what I have got people.
Even managed to lose some weight - mind you all the stress recently kind of contributed to that but every cloud has a silver lining. However PMT is due soon so vast quantities of chocolate shall be consumed!
Right got things to do so had better crack on.
Hugs to all,

:hello:Feel like there's been a reunion going on while I've been away. Nice to see all the original crowd back again.
IrishChick glad your job is okay. Sorry to hear you were ill on your trip away - sometimes it feels like you can't win doesn't it.:wall:
Ruby - hope interview goes well.
1 step - glad to hear things are at least moving for you. Wishing you the best of luck
Hi Belle and SisterCas - hope things going well with you too.
I wouldn't exactly call my time away positive in terms of what I do for work, but at least I had some nice food on expenses and got to read a book and a magazine in peace which I don't tend to get at home. It also kept me away from the shops and any spending was reclaimable so I suppose there were some ups. :money: Came home tho with a brain like cotton wool. I stopped at the services for a coffee - it was put in front of me at least 3 minutes before I realised it was mine LOL :doh:I think I needed that break!!!
I got home and OH had bought a chinese for himself and the kids - but none for me. If that wasn't bad enough - the kids didn't like what he'd bought anyway!!!! I made him go back out to get some for me and shared it with kids!!! Not very MSE perhaps but important nonetheless!

Cas, we are in exactly the same position!!! Except because DD was off school earlier this week, she and I put up the artificial one from the garage and positioned it, so that by the time DS and DH came home it was looking festive and lovely and now they are converted!!! Well a little anyway. We have ALWAYS had a real tree and last year we had two!! I am still tempted to buy a little one for the living room because the current one is in the conservatory but am resisting so far. I feel both a bit proud that we haven't spent and a little sad that things are soooo tight that we are having to think like this!!The good you do comes back to you.DFW Long haul supporters No: 1340 -
Hi to everyone,
thanks for the encouraging words regarding forthcoming job interview, I am really hopeful. It is on the 15th Dec so I will be sure to let you all know.
Irishchick, really glad you have job reassurance, what a relief.
1step, good to hear you are in festive spirits, can you keep coming back and bouying me up, I seem to have lost that festive buzz a bit at the mo.
SH, your trip away for work sounds peaceful and calm, just what is needed this time of year.
YB - how are you?
Off to be a cleaning machine because we have guests arriving at 2pm for the weekend.
Love to you all.
