HI all - I know what marred or mardy means... hehehehe Hope YB you get your mortgage sorted.

Still plodding but got £9 back in vouchers from M&S so that's something at least...

Just took kids to McDonalds my 5 year old said "I thought this was too expensive" so I had to try and explain it was alright to have the occasional treat - bless. So sweet tho, making sure we would be okay...

Welcome, MissOptimistic!! You have come upon the lifesaver for stressed, debtbusting women. We will do our best to keep your chin up when its dragging the ground! I have to say, and have posted on many occasions, we are a great support to each other, like a modern Debt-type Enid Blyton book!!

I love that:- stressed, debtbusting women - has anyone else noticed, it does seem to be the women who tend to handle these things?
Thanks for such a warm welcome everyone - I hope to stick around

  • Belle - Do you want to be humane or don't you mind?

  • Well, I guess I know what NON humane is - so what would be humane?
And how do I stop it / them (!) coming back ?

  • Hah - I don't know any humane ways! - Mousetraps are pretty cheap and DFW (can be used time and time again although I hope you don't have to!) a little bit of chocolate is the best thing to place in the trap, works every time.
Hang on a minute - OH has just told me that you can buy 'humane' mouse traps - I imagine it catches them in a little box so you can release them outside

  • Also, you need to find where they are getting in, and block it up - when I had mice, they were getting in where the tumble drier was vented to the outside wall.

  • Thanks very much - will look into it - hope don't wake up to scratchy noises!
