Pizza Hut 50% off deal - MISLEADING

  • I know how these offers work (I used to be in a similar work in 1997), but Pizza Hut are so short sighted.

They allow 27% of sales on labour (inc management)- this is the same figure they had in 1997.

    Do the math ;
1997 ave FOH team wage £3.50
2008 ave FOH team wage £5.85

a 67% increase in labour costs, but the same staff spend.

Pizza Hut have put their prices through the roof, and people have realised they were getting poor service at a dear price. Then when business dries up they panic and slash prices to get bums on seats.

If they want to look at a decent concept look at how Frankie and Bennys have came from zero in the UK to a reasonable force.

You pay roughly 25% more than you do in Pizza Hut, but the service is 200% better and the food is hot and relatively prompt.
F&B staff appear to give a hoot and are not too over stretched.

    They also don't discount heavily.
Pizza Hut think by giving food away people will return, but don't realise they will put more customers off their brand by not ramping up the team levels to cope with the extra volume

All you have in Pizza Hut now is crisis managent, not restaurant management.
    baldly going on...

Regarding changing the offer, i dont see why they cannot change it.
I have no problem with them changing the offer, but they should *change* *the* *offer* not leave it unchanged on the website and the voucher. Allegedly it says it applies 7 days to all stores. If they don't *change* the offer, they cannot (or should not be allowed to) then willy nilly apply different rules as they see fit - except obviously vouchers that have already been issued, they can't be changed. So IMHO Trading Standards would be a good place to start.

I know that the majority of pizza huts are being screwed by this voucher, as so many people are using it. It was HO decision to issue it, but it affects the local restaurants quite badly. They are deducting thousands each week per store. That affects their sales figures that they need to make.
They signed up to the contract, tough luck, if they want to leave the contract and re-open as "Mario's Pizza hut" that option is always open to them.

So where does one get the vouchers from????

Wig - if you type pizza hut in search on the home page of the forum it will take you to the deal. Then you just fill in the form and they will send you an email with the voucher attached.

We used the vouchers in the Yarmouth Pizza Hut last week and got FAB service both times.
I tried their spagetti and meatballs and it was lovely.
We saved over £40 on two visits.
