Yeah she used to like her 'botbots' as well and dummies. I got rid of the dummies when she turned 3. Father Christmas took all her dummies and swapped them for presents. Which was remarkably easy. Even when she found one that he had forgotten.
The bed time bottle went the following Christmas or it might have been Easter can't quite remember TBH, same scenario though. No problems at all.
Does he have much milk during the day then?
Not really, just at nap time and bedtime-maybe one in the morning.
Hearing you say that makes me feel alot better-he didnt use a dummy for very long at all. I might just go the route you have done.
Thank you.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Got some flying to do today, but dishes are washed & both beds are strippedIt occurred to me that since I need to wash DD's uniform tonight, and I'll have my one to wash as well that I might as well strip the beds on a Friday and make up the wash loads
It means DD can have a bath tonight, tea and then an early bed, I can have a bath & curl up with the TV and chill and then Sunday we only need to bath and not mess around changing the beds and trying to get DD bathed & to bed for 7.30pm when she's out with Ex for the day
I need to wrap the camcorder & dispatch that today via Special Delivery as I don't think I'll have time next week and DD wants a lie-in tomorrow as she was falling asleep standing up while I was brushing her hair this morning  She's also asked for an early night, so I think I'll do fish, chips, and mushy peas for tea early-ish then she can have a warm bath, a mug of warm milk and go to bed early with no reading.
I've phoned the school already this morning about a placement but the person I spoke to wasn't in her office so another message has been left saying its urgent I need to know todayKnowing my luck she'll phone while I'm in the job centre
I was going to go shopping today while I was out, but since its teaming down with rain I'm not going to bother. I'm going the job centre and coming straight home again. Going to pick up a 6pt milk from Co-op when I go the post office, and I've got 2x£1 Co-op vouchers so I'll have to put minimum cash towards itAlso means I can make dessert over the weekend. Just remembered I need cheese as well, so I'll have a mooch to see what they have in that department as well.
Will certainly stop me going down to Asda and spending money I don't have.
I'm just debating whether to dig the winter stuff out properly or not. According to the BBC its going to warm up again to about 19C over the next 5 days but its the damp that's bothering me, especially as this house is so cold over night. I think I'll dig the curtains out to put on the doors, and DD's quilt to put on her bed. Then I should really think about making the curtains up to hang in the downstairs doorways.
Right, off to check email etc and sort this parcel out. Then I best do some flying and studying as well! Where's my flying list....

Morning ladies! I love my Friday day off! Have managed to put on DW, 2nd load in WM, had to put on TD Grrr! but my house is so tiny I cannot air or put on radiators (not on yet anyway - hoping for Nov 1 but...). Sorted a pile of guide paperwork (has been hanging around since July!!) got some banking/post ready, just going to pay council tax online, and transfer some money whilst I eat my twink hobnob and drink my welll deserved coffee. I've realised that I really must just do a little paperwork each week - file and stuff and make sure I keep on top of the guide stuff as we'll be starting again next week - I don't run a unit but look after the guiders so I get the paperwork!! It's what I do for a living so shouldn't be difficult but sometimes doing it all week and then for fun... well then the enthusiasm wanes a bit!
Have to empty the bins, hoover my bed from earlier in the week, take the duvet to the washeteria - that will be a new challenge - never had to do that before but here there is no service wash!! Then I'll have to tackle the kids' rooms - but darling pais taking me to lunch in return for some errands - so may not finish until this afternoon - then hopefully I'll get an hour at the gym while the kids are at choir/kids club yippee!!
Have a good day one and all - hope those seeking jobs find what they want and those without kids - make the most of it!!Sealed Pot 617 - target £150 only managed £27 in 2009!0 -

Do you think i am starving the poor lad then???
He loved the sweet potato today - not so keen on the apricot yoghurt i let him have a taste of but i think that was because it was cold rather than yucky - we'll see how well he sleeps tonight.
I do not think you are starving him lol.. but at 17lb he isn't petite baby and he probably does need more.. trust your instincts you are his mummy and you DO know best. 2 of mine were 17lb when they were 2 years old!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Great news about Matthew Lil_me:j Is he all done with surgery or will he need more later?
Good luck with the interview pigpen:D
Michelle, as pigpen said, trust your instincts. He sounds like a strapping little lad and will probably need more than just milk. And i just worked out my LO is only 28lbs, she is nearly 5:o She is just 2 stoneThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
