Its back to work tomorrow so although I am going to try and keep up to date with things not too sure if I'll be able to.
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Thanks honey, and sorry yours wasn't great either! We went to Newport in Wales, beautiful place, and if either the weather or the bed had've been ok, I'd have had a good time! ;)

You were just down the road from me. which beach did you go to?

Polkadot - what are you doing getting a head start on Monday? Most of the rest of us are busy giving up on all the stuff we haven't done from last week :rotfl:

SS - sorry to hear the holiday was horrible. You're right though, most of us can cope with bad weather if we're comfortable, or discomfort if the weather is fantastic, but both together is just too much! Hope you enjoy being back home ;)

MrsV - glad the move went well. Have fun with the unpacking - hopefully you won't wondering why you packed it all! I've always ended up moving stuff only to throw it out when I unpack :o

Good luck to everyone who is going back to work or sending kids off to school (or both  )this week!

    Hi everyone

I would like to join please. I have read the posts and think this will help very much so

I have some areas of my house that need de cluttering badly, as someone said, the stairs and the landing, banisters.
I take the washing up and just leave it there, hang clothes over the banisters and ...well they just stay there. My landing is cluttered badly.
I also have say the dining room table, I clear it and clean it and before you know it, it's cluttered up again. It drives me totaly mad.
i have even threatened to get rid of the dining room table so DH and 3 (well only 2 as 1 is a baby) kids
cant fill it up with their stuff. (dumping grounds as I call them)

I would like to do level 2 please, as I have cooking to do too, plus Mondays are shopping days.
I do have 1 big problem, storage or lack of it, we are having a double extension done (hasn't started yet) but afterwards my storage problem will be solved.

Had rather a productive day after all today-did chicken bits and roast potatoes for supper. Got the shopping done, picked up the bedroom bathroom and lounge and cleaned the kitchen to "waking" standard. Just need to get DF to vanish all his empty beer cans to the recycling box downstairs.
Also turned some leftover chicken into a puree to turn into pasta sauce for DS spag for tommorow. Im starting to really worry as he wont eat anything at all-he's even gone off his yoghurt. Did some more inventories for my control journal and phoned DF's grandad to check his address correct for emergency contacts. Need to edit list to confirm emergency services direct numbers also.
SS Sorry your bed wasn't comfie-that'll ruin anything
Carol Pack a vanity bag also so you know where your toothbrush facewash medication towel and pjs are-and get a little torch to go in too. Theres nothing like plugging the kettle in just about midnight and tripping all the power when you dont know your way round yet.
Greenbee Im sorry:pI spent the whole day planning meals and doing inventories and shopping-the fridge just became a natural part of the process. But if it'll make you feel better the cupboard under the sink is badly in need of doing.
    cammumof3 Welcome:j
Laura hope the services were good-and baba's were vewy pwetty:)
Pigpen Thanks for the list-what would I do without you? (No Im not really looking for a pigpen answer)
Holly Have you assigned a kicker for this week-sounds like you need one? DO YOUR IRONING ;)
Im off to shower and then bed-night night

Just finished last week's ironing :D and dealt with a few work emails... now off to bed as I'm back in the office tomorrow after my week languishing on my sickbed. I somehow don't think I'll be up at 6 and off to the gym - that might have to wait until I've got the hang of being back at work

Polkadot - don't forget to use your chicken bones for stock.
  • Hi hollyh

Yeah I have sort of been doing that, but not always, or I will leave it on the bed and forget about it.
Then find it when I go to bed, which is usally after hubby and he wont put it away.
So then I put it on the floor and think to my self I will put that away tomorrow, but never do, argh
    self disapline really isnt it.

I am hoping if I set my self a challenge on here then it will work.
One thing I have started doing which is good is drying the bathroom sink.
After each use i dry the sink, taps and the soap bottle (including underneath bottle)
I find this way the sink stay nice and clean for longer. No horrid marks under saop.
I keep an old towel (flannel size) on the pipe under/behind the sink.
It stay shiny and clean for alot longer, and when you walk in the bathroom it looks nice.
Up till Saturday it wasnt to bad, I was sweeping several times during the day, have long haired german shepherd who leaves hair ever where.
I was sweeping the living room every day (took rug up so I dont have to hoover, re electric) The dogs are only allowed in the living room at night mainly so the kids can be in living room during the day and not worry about dog hairs, every night I was sweeping and mopping, was looking very nice.
But then the week end comes, we were out all day Saturday and have been out for some of the time today and to be honest I have had a lazy day today, so my living room it's self and the floor looks like a bomb has hit it.

I will set challenge level 2. But aim to do more.
