  • Just been to my local Asda store and was only given a voucher for £1. Is this right or should it have been for £2?

went to asda by me today, the staff have never heard of if,even though i showed them magazine, and was told there should probably of been a van in car park giving them out, everybody was enquireing and was told the same thing even though our store is on the list of stores to participate.
usual rip off with asda like the Daz washing powder they should of had for £3 last week, but shelf was constantly empty, even if they had put some on the shelf, there would have been room for about 6 boxes max.this is just another gimmick to get you instore

In Asdas defence(No I dont work for them) I had to go to asda early on sunday while the Daz promo was on. I got there at ten to ten (store opens at 10) and there were pallets and pallets of daz in the main foyer with people just piling them n the trolley. I knew nothing about it but thought id get one while I was lucky enough to see them. At 5 past 10 when I left the store there were no boxes left on the many pallets but lots of people queuing to pay with trolley full.

This offer has been an utter debacle.

At Eastlands in Manchester they knew nothing about it until I showed them the magazine and a relative who lives in Portsmouth was told by staff at her local store that "Some people want something for nothing and that it is only a pound anyway"
I called customer services at head office who told me that Proctor and Gamble had advertised it wrong on the website and it should be a voucher for £1 off and that the magazine is printed by an outside agency who also got it wrong !!!

    So, everybody's fault but Asda's then (!)

Certainly sounds like it.... Asda should have honoured it - even it if it was a mistake with Procter and Gamble and/or the Magazine publishers ....they should taken it up with each of them themselves (what the chuff do they pay their advertisers for?????!!!!!)!!!

Someone is probably going to quote me wrong and tell me that Asda are perfectly within their rights .... I've no doubt they are - but I doubt if any of Asda's customers are likely to be peed off with Proctor and Gamble ..it's Asda's reputation and you think that they'd have done it out of 'Goodwill'!

"GOODWILL??? :rotfl: ".... now there's a word we don't hear very often nowadays!!! :D
  • Went into old kent road branch today. I found the little promotion table but it was unattended so I carried on doing my shopping, I saw the lady rep ( she was wearing the promo tshirt and carrying loads of leaflets) and I asked her if the lenor promotion was still on going. she just said no sorry and just walked away. I am so disappointed as I had brought a cap to exchange and she didnt even explain why it was finished. She didnt say if she ran out of vouchers or the bottles of lenor or what.
I did feel as if I fell into the trap of being made to shop in their store.

HI I went into my local asda at Burnley with a top not off lenor.Went to the promo stand, She was lovely she had a stand at the end of washing powder row.think she must be an in house promoter as she does alot of promos for lots of products in the store.she gave me the £1 off voucher and also a money off booklet for lenor(the £1 off voucher was the price of the lenor as thats on offer at a £1) great x
  • I went to my local Old Kent Road Asda 10am Friday 5th. One staff member wasn't aware and another said they did not have any of the vouchers. Another customer was sent away to get a print-out earlier that day.
I noticed an internal notice and on reading it "Customer Services" gave me a bottle without a voucher BUT took my old Tesco Fabric Softner bottle cap.
There was a huge stack of £1 750ml Lenors
  • My local Asda wasn't even on the list, but I went in yesterday with a manky old cap from a Tesco's own concentrate, and was immediately given permission to collect 750ml bottle of Lenor concentrate off the shelf by the nice lady at customer service.

Sounds like a lot of the other Asdas haven't been so accommodating though...
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
