Just reporting in on my asda experience.
First big thanks to mse as I wouldn't have known about this offer otherwise :j
So, the first asda was unhelpful. I politely approached customer services who informed me - no cap - no voucher. I informed them that it says on the website you don't need a cap. Their reply "I don't use the internet so I can't do anything about that." lmao! After they spent ages asking managers and trying to phone headoffice I eventually got a voucher - as did my flatmate who had the wrong type of cap.
Tried another asda which was about 5 mins down the road. They couldn't have been more different. The helpful customer service assistant told me where I could find a lenor rep merrily distributing free vouchers.
I got £1 vouchers but the bottles were reduced to £1 in both stores.
Good result but didn't appreciate the 1st store keeping me waiting and making it a hassle.
Oh I also checked if it was one per person. The lenor rep said it was but gave me a little booklet with some more 50p off vouchers - valid until end of October.0 -
hiya, i got mine this morning from nuneaton asda and i took my cap from a cheaper fabric cond bottle i used, no questions gave me a voucher and Pat was very helpful, told me it was on offer today at 1.00 and so to get it today and would be of course FREE,,,,, i liked that and grabbed it quickly,
so have put my saved 1.00 into my tin to pay next onto my Evans card
lovely, and well done asda nuneaton,

Local store only giving out vouchers if you take a cap in.
Not publicised anywhere - vouchers were hidden in a drawer at customer services. The assistant only took one out for me and then put them back in the drawer.
Ok for me - I read about it on MSE and knew to ask, but what about all the other shoppers who weren't so fortunate? (Including those without the web).0 -
Bridgend Asda NOT particapating, claim no demonstrators were sent!!!!!!!!!!!0

No problems at Shipley, and I got my cap back to put on my open bottle at home. Customer Services accepted it no problems, and gave me the voucher. SA at till knew nothing of the promotion and thanked ME for telling HER. OH went earlier today and got voucher too.
May try again tomorrow.essex girl in exile0 -
Thanks OP- OH and I took our caps (random ones from other brands of softener) and each got a £1 voucher from ASDA Totton, Southampton which entitled us to a free 750ml bottle. It wasn't well advertised at all though- I had expected a Lenor stand or something but just went to the usual customer service desk.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

It may tell you something about how sad i am that my very first post as a new member of MSE, is one of delight at having taken advantage of this fab offer today!
I discovered this board a couple of nights ago and i've been amazed by the forums as well as all the fabulous info on the MSE website itself. Last night i saw on the homepage that there was a new Lenor offer.
So i took 3 caps (2 from brand new fabric softner bottles and 1 from a washing detergent bottle) and I also took my daughter and her friend along and we went off to our local Asda.
I was expecting to see a stand at the front of the store or something advertising the offer, but i had to really search hard until i eventually found a tiny table with a few discount vouchers (not the vouchers for this offer) in the middle of the store, with no person in sight. I waited a few minutes and eventually a teen came along and started fussing around the table trying to make the vouchers look pretty.
I asked if this was where i could get the vouchers for free lenor and showed her that between us we had the three bottle caps. She took a very small bundle of vouchers from her pocket and handed us three of them.
Stupid me i asked her if she needed to keep the caps I had taken along as i could use them back home if not, she said she wasn't sure....as if i was the first person who had been to her with any bottle caps today (it was about 1.30pm).
I think if i'd not have said anything she wouldn't have asked for them, but as neither of us was sure of the 'bottle cap' proceedure i thought it was best she had them so she didn't get in trouble if her supervisor aked her for evidence of how many customers had actually bought caps in.
I've now got plastic bags and tin foil 'hats' sitting on those three bottles i took the caps off!
As my daughters friend helped me to get one of the bottles of Lenor i said she should take it home with her. I already have an unused one and now i have two new bottles too. This board is FAB! FAB! FAB!

Fair play to you!!!
My mum went to the Tamworth Asda to do her weekly shopping and took my nan with her (she's 78!)...both armed with a cap in each of their handbags!
They were told that they could only accept the caps off the really big bottles too!! I can't believe though that they both still went ahead and bought one of the bottles of Lenor that were on offer today...I know for a quid it is still a bargain but I wouldn't have done that out of principal!!
What a farce... ...it does seem to be a ploy to get people in the shop but some people seem to have got quite a result at different stores.... I guess it depends who you have serving you! some people have made special trips to their Asdas in this awful weather to get a freebie and it might only be a quid but it does count for a lot of people!!
I'll stick with Sainsburys!0
