  • Dublin is a beautiful city. I have been lucky to spend a few days working there. Cant remember names but there was a beautiful park with a lake/pond near one of the main shopping streets.

  • Pics dont work on the laptop (work connection) but Grafton street sounds right.

Have rang redcross today and left a message so hopefully I can borrow a wheelchair to help. Booked dentist for tomorrow but going to cancel its too expensive and dreading getting in. I am so useless on the cruches. Balance is ok but my right hip protests very quickly. Zimmer is not any better same problem.

Just off to chack bank balance dont want to check budget as it will be bad. Ill leave that to later in the week. Payday friday :j.

Hope all ok will everyone. Weather looks great throught the window :D.

    morning kp
balance when on crutches is very difficult..
i only use one and have found just recently that i am now damaging my left knee(ligaments and cartilage ) mainly as the body automaticaly compensates for the pain being recived else where,so you naturaly put more pressure on the healthy parts of the body,,
the trick is to remain central so the weight is distributed evenly,,,
of cause this mens you dont get as long on the crutches as your bad area gets painfull quite quickly,,,,
i spoke to my phsio about this before and her ans,,,,,
if its causing pain your on your feet to much!!!!
which is very true however you still need to get basic jobs done every day so.
so its a lose lose situation,,,
    1) strain bad and good parts of the body to get through the day!!
    2) take lots of drugs to cover up the pain, do more damage
as you dont feel it being done,!!
    3) become a vegatable and sit and mumble in the corner!!
4)do all of the above and end up baaaarrrrrrrrrrrrking!!

  • :rotfl:a pretty good summary there Shaun. Heading for the Baarrrking bit whilst trying to keep a PMA (positive mental attitude) with it.

Signs of baarrking so far are:

Jeremy kyle and other similar american shows become watchable.
Getting yourself crisps and water is a major life acheivement
You actually care "How its made" on the said TV show.
You read medication instructions fully due to boredom
Your day is planned around the TV
