Just heard she has two small breaks one near wrist one near elbow. Poor little thing. Not too bad only plastering because its still sore to move so hopefully it will heal soon. Want to hug her soooooo much. She sounded ok on the phone whilst waiting for the plaster to go on. So glad we got it checked as TBH though I was overreacting I was expecting to have an unhappy OH whinging about unneeded waiting times whilst footie was on!!

kp that mix is very bad and can see why you feel down /depressed
ibruprophen, for pain and anti inflationary
paracetamol for pain and addictive slightly bad for liver
codeine for pain very addictive bad for blood.liver kidneys
surely your not taking them all together?????
    plus citalpram :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

my gp over here allows me 6 tablets a day max and i have to change them every 4/6 wks ,so as to rest liver ,kidney, heart eth,,,
last week he says "" its only pain cant you live with it"" im worried about the amount of damage its doing to your body and gave me a script for 2 tablets aday!!!!
then 30 mins later he rang me,said hed re read my notes and to call in next time im down their and he issue normal cert ....
but i take his point as well....
next step is morphine patches and theirs no where to go after that!!

  • I have been taking citalopram since Sept and upped to 40 mg since Jan which has been helping. I have been told to take the paracetamol and codeine together for the best pain relief four times a day. The ibruprophen is more for anti inflammatory plus extra pain relief. Dont need it for pain relief TBH. Thats 3 times a day.

OH on tramadol for 3+ years plus ibruprofen to top up. He has signs of kidney damage but still wating for full assessment. He is supposed to take 8 max a day but usually 10 minimum. His next step in something morphine based which he is trying to avoid.

Hugs again ref your illness I had no idea no wonder you are barrrrrking!!

    yep completely barking!!

way way way to much medicine!!!
do you have days when you can cut down the amounts of pain killers!!
    eg this week ive done
sat sun 4tab mon tue 2 tabs today is cold and im tired so will be 4/6 but
i put up with some discomfort to reduce the tablets,,,
having said that theirs day when i should have taken more than 2 especially like now when im sitting here with my teeth clenched ,,,i sure sign of body pain!!
or do you find that that amount of medication does actually give you a pain free day???
sorry to keep poking but you have me a little worried about the amounts of meds your taking:o:o:o

  • Well until yesterday when I got too energetic followed by unplanned mini emergency the pain has been fine more discomfort really so I could take less. Will try to space it out a bit more now my leg feels better.

Also think as you said earlier lack of proper food hasnt helped. Toast with jam and two bags of crisps not the best of dinners :o. Normally I'd have raided the cupboards etc for a meal by now but relying on family. They can only do so much. Going to ask OH for chicken pie with (readymade) mash and lots of veg tonight mmmmmm.
