I have absolutely zero taste, but strip the wallpaper from the fireplace wall, emulsion it in a light colour and that'd be perfect to me.

    I love animal prints :)

Had a quick potter around FM the other night just to see if the Brighton bubble has popped yet (not that much yet for some strange reason......the local EA's are trying to keep it propped up I think) and came across this.

Sorry, not techy enough to paste a pic from the ad but I wondered who would let an agent photo the house in such a mess?????

I missed the post about the fire house...but reading about it in papers today made me wonder how many more tragedies the downturn is going to throw up?

Edit..seem to be a lot of tellys on top of the wardrobe...spares?

Estate agents don't do anything for their money do they? - Correct me if I'm wrong but an American Realtor would do a better job:rolleyes:

A few years ago we thought we might move and looked round. We saw some horrors, filthy, stinky and filthy and stinky.

If there is a choice I would rather take on a clean house. Decoration etc not so much of a problem for me as filth.
  • I have viewed worse, and it was a repo. The previous owners had completely trashed the house, inside and out. Absolutely nothing in the kitchen,

It was quite sad really seeing all their personal effects, ie, fathers day cards, clothes etc,

Do they do themselves any favours though by trashing it, surely this would mean the property would be sold for less, and the bank would be chasing them up for what they are owed.
  • The first photo of a Rightmove Property where the repossed former owner has carried out a 'dirty protest' wins some free tetnus jabs.

Somebody lease go round and introduce them to the great de-clutter thread and then show them how to market a house!

Great thread though, it always amazes me how little estate agents actually do for their money.

The one thing that always puts me off is when the EA photographs a bathroom and not only is the toilet lid up but so is the seat! Close them PLEASE!
