Looks like there used to be a telly in the corner and the seats are arranged to view it? Isn't that what Brummies call hippyland, that area of Kings Heath? Could be students.
Could be a nice place with a good tidy out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Yeah it is a pretty hippy area, but not really very many students.
When my OH was looking for a house share years ago, he went to visit one house in Kings Heath where there was a distinct smell of cannabis and lots of rizlas everywhere. He made his excuses and left. Not particularly suitable accomodation for a police officer. Kings Heath is nice in parts though.
I would say this house was expensive, and it would be if it was a 3 bed, but 4 beds aren't that common round here so I suppose it adds to the price, especially if it is a rental.0 -
They could chuck all the 'furniture' in the backyard for starters. That'd be some improvement at least.Max_Headroom wrote: »Never mind, perhaps it's better outsi...

Perhaps it's a repossessed property and the people had to leave in a hurry?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

I would hope so, but after having viewed (lots) of houses round here, it seems a lot of people just live that way.
I don't know if brummies are just messier or what, but it was really offputting. As a bit of a "psycho" when it comes to cleanliness (as branded by my ex housemates who I drove mad with my constant bleaching of all available surfances), I find it hard to look past the mess.0
