Hello are Dell Quadcore Pcs Worth it and how may I find out what components they have used brand wise?

What about Aldi AMD Quadcore equivalent

    Pc Worlds Packard Bell Quad?

Ireland is a real rip off they are puting up electricity charges by another 5% 2nd increase in 1 year even though petrol costs are coming down.

    Samantha

    >>XPS 430 Quad Core Desktop from Dell

    £899 Uk Sterling Inc Vat

Dell have an unbelievable number of customisable Add Ons

Other Options for me is the Aldi AMD Quad Core not sure when it will appear
in stores do these guys sell Intel Chip Pc s at all?

    Or Lidl

    or PC World www.pcworld.co.uk/quad £499:00>>

Samantha the specs I listed will be cheaper and higher reviewed and rated than 99% of stuff Dell use. I'm sure most will agree there are over 5 big UK it component companies that all offer Dell beating deals.

This would be a great deal for you

I could build a gaming pc for £650 which will cope with most games as well as your £2800 version.

£2800 on a gaming pc is just plain stupid.

Buy the best bang for buck components, rather than fresh just out brand new.

Plain stupid is the first part of your post. Come to think of it, the second part sucks too just for being downright offensive. Whilst your £650 PC will cope* with some of the latest games out today, I don't reckon It will be much cop with titles like Far Cry 2.

Also note your brand new Q9650 is hardly a new chip is it?

If anyone (I suggest you too Paul) wants to see solid evidence showing PC's with various processors, GFX cards etc perform against each other across various benchmarks, then hop along to YouGamers.com, or Overclockers UK or any other well known hardware site.

    * basically means he'll be playing games at the lowest resolution and they'll look awful because his monitor's native resolution will be much higher than that which he's playing. OR today's games 'might' be okay, but 6 months down the road, he'll be upgrading so many parts, he might as well be buying another £650 machine - which will last him another 6 months.. OR if you don't mind turning down all the eye candy - a little more to the left of zero, you'll be okay.

    ;)
