Hi all,
I have finally received the monitor from Dell yesterday , after they messed up the kettle lead + CD rom. (only one day delayed) .
 thank you very much OP0 -
Not at home last week so-against better judgement- had to defer promised delivery for Tuesday untill today. Arrived to find CD hanging out of broken box plus note 'other damaged box returned to Dell'. Delivery tracking showed as complete order delivered Tuesday.
Abandoned all hope - reached for bottle/pills/noose.
Knock on door mid-day. Man with E196FP.
Nice monitor. Expect that I shall make full recovery providing no further dealings with Dell on whatever continent.

How come so many people are suicidal over these monitors? It's just a screen...0

If people cancel their oringnal orders I sugest email: Anuradha_Gudimella@Dell.com and ask
DELL // raised a fresh order
DELL // open you a new window
BANK // Then you need to contact your bank
BANK // Open that window for Dell because you have cancel the order.
DELL // After a week you will have a new pdf file.
DELL // Bitter luck should have your new 19" monitor

I am STILL awaiting my replacement for my E196FP which is bust - still "in production" as of 13 December. Looks like there are no spare monitors out there to replace this - anyone know how best to proceed? Do I have any legal threat to make Dell do something or is it just tough if you buy something that doesn't work and Dell can't repair or replace it?You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Could try Karthik_Murari@Dell.com supervisor email them rather than phone. Say "I have tried phoning up they don't seam to understand the nature of this order could you possible help me out". Don't for get to enclosed the power word of "nature" works every time when I use this!.
Good luck!. :rudolf:0 -
Wahoo - RESULT. My replacement monitor is going to be delivered on 11th January! Send an immediate email back telling them that was NOT acceptable. I will have been without this for a whole month since they delivered a defective one - so much for a 3-year monitor replacement warranty. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

I wouldnt really call that a result, when my Samsung LCD broke they had a replacement with me the next day and broken one taken away, taking 3/4 weeks for a replacement is a joke.0

Sorry - I don't think I made my sarcasm clear enough! When I get a response to my last email I intend to demand that they send something immediately, even if that means an upgrade to an E1905FP, or give me a partial refund for leaving me without a new screen for Christmas which was my present to myself. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
