Most TFT's won't work with a refresh rate over 75 hertz, so it's worth noting that when you swap this monitor onto your PC make sure your operating system monitor refresh rate is set to 75 hertz or below, otherwise you'll put it on and think it's DOA.

ive just had a pdf order confirmation of the Dell 19 inch TFT monitor £131.60 delivered , after receiving a pdf with a 17" crt monitor i emailed to cancel the order...im very suprised ive got the monitor for such a good price !

dell web site price for this monitor is £219 !

How long after dispatch does it normally take for delivery,mine was dispatched today with an eta of the 12/12/05.

Fantastic - got home from work to find my two Dell monitors waiting for me!
Plugged one in, played some games and it looked superb.
20 minutes after starting it up the screen goes white/purple and loses all focus, then intermittently flashes back to normal then whiteish again Now it is permanently duff and I've had to plug my old 17" one back in.
Disaster - now I have to call Dell and get the damn thing replaced! Maybe they sent us the defective ones for punishment!
Not a great start, and my son is annoyed because he was going to get his CRT replaced by a nice new TFT screen. Poo.

Just looked at the dell website again and the monitor we got for £131.60 is selling for £266.14 inc vat and delivery !

Just hope mine works !

For the 20 minutes mine worked it was great - vibrant colours, very fast response times - no ghosting at all in online games. Now it's back in the box and I'm having an email dialogue with Dell.

Hats off to Dell on this one, got my new PDF

all I need now is for them to honour my £30.00 projector from last year and I'll never mutter a bad word about them ever

Just had this response to my email enquiry about my lost order:

'.....Our records show that your order was cancelled. Apologies if you were not informed about this. Please contact our sales department to place another order.'

Wonder how they decide if they'll honour your order or not, as I'd had the original CRT pdf?

I had a few of these emails from them, telling me my order has been cancelled but I can place another order with their sales department. But I received a PDF for the 19" TFT a couple of days ago, so just hold on.
