    How di

I am relatively new to this forum and after spending quite a few hours reading through all of the interesting posts and, if I may say have personally saved a shed load of money, I have noticed that the discussions get a bit heated at times sometimes resulting in personal insults.

    Why is this?

For example recently I saw a post where someone (a newbie I might add) was shot down in flames for posting something that had been posted before. I think that this was really unfair.

It annoys me when people are treated this way and I think that as a group we should stamp it out.

    Peace!

But you have to admit that as the above says. I take it that it can and will put some people off after joining, especially newbies as the above calls them. :-/

And on another note it is in our own favour that this sniping stops other wise Martin may stop the chat forums,as he must get tired of this going on, as he has a lot of more important stuff to deal with.
So unless we don't want it like being back at school with someone always being on yard duty to keep us in order. we will all loose then in the end.

I really wish we could all get along we have a really good site here with so many good things going for us Moneying Saving, Help in all kinds of ways and subjects. :)

Have you ever tried to imagine if the site wasn't available :o a lot of us would be in rehab ;D
  • This happened to me recently. I am a sensitive soul and got quite upset.

The thing that upsets me the most is when people post on the debts or cc boards and say I've got xxxx£ of debt, and people go, " OH MY GOD, how could you be so stupid, how did you let this happen". Well, I'll tell you I know some pretty brainy people who are good at burying head in sand. Sometimes it just happens. Please be supportive of newbies whose heads are just emerging out of the sand. In my experience becoming a MSE does not happen overnight. It is months of change.

I support being nice. Next time I see a nasty post I vow to saw something (if I'm feeling brave)!

The pen is mightier than the sword.

If everyone took the time to read through their posts (to check for spelling/grammar) prior to clicking on the Post button, it may also result in less abrupt comments on the site..............as well as easier to read postings for those who prefer to not use text.
