Spent another €11 something yesterday...haven't got receipt in front of me. Need some things to-morrow too, bananas, juice and not sure what else.
As I will be away from 22nd, am going to visit Chinese supermarket with whatever I have left on Saturday and stock up on things like vinegar, rice and sauces, tend to spend a fortune if I go too often, so will be good!
Night all

 Anybody spotted any great special offers on teabags anywhere????
I've been staying away from the supermarkets and using everything up but the teabag situation is about to reach crisis point!

What sort of teabags? My personal favourite is Twinings Everday usually retail at 1.99ish for 80, I bulkbuy them when they are 99p on half price. Can't see any at the moment. If you like typhoo you can get a 100 for a £1 in your local pound shop. A penny a cup is not bad IMHO.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
:T Ooh Typhoo would be great!
They're my favourite - but any branded teabags would be Ok really. I last bought Typhoo about a year ago when they were on special offer and we're down to the last 240 so it's definitely time to get some more.

Hi everyone
This month isn't going that great (but we moved house and I now live in a large village with no access to car or freezer at the moment) The village is lovely and there is a small Coop and small Tesco so shoping isn't a problem. Its just that everything comes in packs for 2 people or above and as I'm veggie we end up eating the same thing over again. Anyway OH has said he will buy a freezer at the weekend :j so that will help. So far its been frustrating cos there lovely farms shops nearby and I can't make use of them.
One of my main aims is to shop locally because people didn't shop locally where we were led to my business going under and I mean to support local businesses. Anyway thats my winge over. I hope everything is going well for everyone.
Speak to you all again soon

Not doing too bad here but I've allowed DH to call at the shops a couple of times on his way home, which is rarely a good move for the GC! We're probably still on course though as I think I've got enough of all laundry, cleaning & toiletries to last us through. (I might get a bumper pack of soft and cuddly toilet tissue if I'm passing Lidl though!)
We seem to be getting through lots more milk these days and even though our sons are having school lunches even our little 'sparrow' of a son seems to have developed a hearty appetite. So whilst DH was cooking the meat and potato pie in place of our Sunday roast I popped some trays of hobnobs and fairy cakes in.
I'm off to Mr Ts later on - hopefully at the right sort of time to get some reduced bread etc.
Here's to a good GC week!0 -
First things first... Has anyone seen the electric jam pan thingy in lakeland?
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/tefal!REG-.../product/12613
only I have just seen them in the supermarket here on sale at €50 / £40 when they are £79.99 in lakeland  .... Im sooooo tempted to get my mum one for a combined birthday/xmas pressy -she always made the best jam -but she has no need for big volumes anymore... as she will only give it away, which is lovely -but not saving her money... hmm what do folks think? Mind she wouldn't be able to have it until we go back to visit hmmmmm
EGON -if you are interested -let me know, I can always pick you one up (whilst they have them-which won't be long at that price)and you can collect it at xmas
they also had the tefal vita steam cuisine steamer that I have -@ €40 / £32 Its normally about £70....
Anyway I have done some stocking up - I was suprisingly pleased with the final amount -that supermarket is usually one where you come out with half what you want but have paid twice as much as you want  -so I avoid it, I still need to get tuna, sweetcorn and some other bits but I like them from somewhere else
So we got:-- 12 tins baked beans (not the cheap ones-but they are yummy and you get far more beans in)
- 12 tins kidney beans
- 2 boxes pudding rice
- 2 bags par boiled rice
- big bag of lentils
- 5 bags fusilli
- 5 bags penne
- 2 spaghetti
- 2 bags pistatios
- 2 tins peanuts -treats for hubby
- 1 huge tin lentil n veg soup with bacon
- 2 huge tins of veg n ham soup
- 2 huge tins pineapple
- 2 huge tins peaches
- 2 jars of stewed apricots
- 2 jars stewed rhubarb
- 2 jars plums
- 2 packs butter
- 3 kilo apples
- 3 kilo oranges
- 10 kilo net of cabbage
- 10 kilo net potatoes
- 2 kilo net of leeks
- Pack of beasts/ox liver -for dinner tonight nomnomnom
- 16 andrex loo rolls
- oohhh and then they had some big buckets with lids on (i can't resist these lol) ...and in each there are 3 bottles fabric softener, 2 bottles washing up liquid, a surface spray and cleaning cloth -€5 / £4 ... so I got 2 :rotfl:
So my shelves in the basement are now straining under the weight yippee

Oh Mrs M I wish I had a basement!
Well theres only one portion of the parsnip and apple soup left as me and dd14 pigged out on it last night! Froze the last bit. Froze 4 portions of the beef stew though so Ive got that for later on in the week or whenever. I need to mealplan my lunches for work so that I dont pop out!
Just calculated that only £26.87 of my tesco spend((£33.68)was actual food so add on my shared kebab on Sat night-another £4(shared it with DS) ive only spent £30.87 so far on food this week. Truthfully I dont need anything but I know me only too well and could end up buying bargains on a lunchtime.
Just amended my Asda delivery from this Weds to Sunday-so an extra 4 days away as I dont need it. Changed most of the items too from my list as I dutifully checked what Id bought in Tesco on Saturday.Hoping that this week is gonna stay at £30.87! Didnt get any more cooking done-just one of those tired days when I didnt have the motivation to bother so I guess thats another 4lbs I wont put on in weight. Well-I was intending to make twinks and maybe peanut butter cookies-maybe not now-I may wait until next week but for some mad reason there are 4 jars of peanut butter opened in the cupboard so I do have a very good excuse.
The actual amount on food on my Asda order is at present £48.83 but its probably less with the multisaves etc. Ordered some mini bottles of wine I will keepas pressies or for Xmas drinks. On offer in Asda 4 for a fiver. Includes a nice chardonnay-the more expensive one. Each bottle is 250ml and 25cl so better option than opening a full sized bottle for me as I don't often drink and its just the right size for a couple of glasses. Also good if you like to drink but need to cut down on intake.
Anyone know if 25 cl is the same as 250 ml?Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
