i think we all need to remember the point of the story.
im not talking about getting a handful of skincare spits & pinkies & getting products for free. or mitchum vouchers or parenting club etc
this is a customer that has repeatly abused the system through the same means, over & over again with TD voucher after TD voucher.
this is, i think, one end of the scale.
although you ladies like a bargain i dont think any of you would go to such extreme lengths!!

but there are two sides involved here..............................Boots staff have allowed this person to buy mags in bulk and to use the vouchers . Even if we are talking 60+ times it would not be cost effective to use lots of different stores (petrol etc) so staff would be aware . I don't do a huge amount of Bootsing but 3 or 4 SA know me .

Yep i can indeed believe that :rotfl: i was actually planning on wrexham today but went llandudno with my sister instead. quite a good day to be honest !! Might try wrexham this weekend before offers finish !!:T
The High st one has the r & m xmas sets & jk files but I thought the Plas Coch one was better overall although they had to put t & g and mm points on manually at another till and empty my very full bag to check I had the right items - was getting very hot under the collar.:rotfl:

hi ladyluck - do you know where this has happened?

have to say I agree with the comments that others have made - if they only want you to have 1 mag it wouldnt be difficult to set up the tills so that they only allow you to have 1 for free. Even if I wanted to pay £1 for a mag - it always goes through for free at the till anyway....

There are always people who will push things to the extreme and spoil things. I am no :A myself with regards to Boots (and T***o) but I know there are others far worse (?better) than me. I have to say if I do anything a wee bit 'dodgy' I never use my AC (would rather forgoe the points) although obviously with the TD Glitch you need to.
Moral of the story - don't gamble what you can't afford to lose and Be Careful. We all enjoy a freebie but don't spoil it for others or yourselves! Everyone's boundaries are different

Thanks Ladyluck. Just a thought maybe your colleagues are on to the fact you are one of us lol and are trying to stop you getting bargains so they can get some too lol.

The only problem with stories like this is chinese whisper syndrome, tonnes could be 10 and then the next person to tell the story it could be 100.

I too have bought pc coupons on ebay so would be interesting to know what they would do about this.

I have never used the mitchum glitch - am kinda glad seen as I got the following pm -
I take it you go to Bond street. I had a very interesting conversation with a SA there on Friday about a girl who had used 4 mitchum vouchers two days running, and they have been instructed not to take them on the ladies £1.65 sprays. I was able to do it as I was buying the men's one for hubby and the SEL showed £2.65, despite the tills ringing £1.65.

If it wasn't you - go careful. If it was, hope they weren't too stroppy with you.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I would always recommend buying a few cheap items when doing glitches such as TS. We don't want them catching onto to us!

well said :) i am quite shocked at peoples greed at expecting a sales assistant to accept a 1 pence payment  yes we know thats what the till says, but surely its common sense to hide the glitches,is it not ?

wouldnt it be sad if the sales assistant actually got a warning from her boss for letting this kind of 1p transaction go through the till :(

dont get me wrong,i like a bargain as much as the next and have myself done very very well out of boots glitches :) but to question a sales assistant when she wont let you pay a penny is pee taking in my eyes.

I know we all have different lines to cross aswell and am not looking for any conflict, but a 1 pence shopping total would ring alarm bells in any shop in any town!!!!!!

Although I am very new to this and haven't abused the system I do have quite a lot of points (because I just haven't used them) - if you use them to buy things you don't get more points do you? (sad I know- but that has always been my view of things)does anybody think it might be a good idea to spend our points now?
  • right bit more detail.
it was the time delay glitch - the 200 ad card pts voucher.
she was 'buying' a TD product, using her skincare spit & handing in the 200 ad card points voucher out of the HB magazine.
paying nothing for the product & receiving 200 points.
this in itself is fine, but the rules regarding the HB magazine is that it is £1 to non ad card-holders OR free to ad-card holders.
wheres the problem i hear you ask?
T&C's state that it is one free copy of HB magazine to ad card holders.
If the certain customer wanted more copies, she should have paid £1.00 for each subsequent copy.
your ad card keeps a record of whether or not you have had HB magazine & used vouchers.
hope that all makes sense. dont want to make you worry, just letting you all know.
    That's terrible !
