I'll have a look at the cost of Mothercare mattresses and bedding. I went into Mamas & Papas at the weekend and discovered that fitted sheets for a crib mattress cost £9 each - nearly as much as I paid for the crib...
When baby is big enough to move into the cot-bed I've already got an unused mattress for it - because when we bought the original mattress for our son we were accidentally sent two and they never sent anyone round to collect the spare. So that's £80 saved...0 -

look in cheaper places,wilkinsons,ethel austin,tesco etc
even mothercare do a 2 pack for around £7
