hi barryd999,tell your friend do NOT advertise with travel and leasure another £220 down the loo.DONT change to any other scam. if the only thing he owes is maintenance fees, then stop paying, you dont pay for what you dont use if he has had problems with his health his GP may for a fee write a letter to say his travel is extreamly limited ..i am a member of a group,of over 3000 members called. drips http://drip.enjin.com free to join may take a few days to get in but well worth it, lots of members are now OUT
plenty of help with letters etc, oh, and how to deal with diamonds very own debt collector who try and scare you into paying ... hope this is of help.. DONT.. spend anymore money you will not get any return on your money, now or later.what you first payed out has GONE.. 3000 members will tell you the same..
thanks. I did tell him to ask for his money back with Travel and Leasure but too late im afraid. However I did join DRIPS and the good news is that it appears that my friend is out on medical grounds.
Good site and keep up the good work0 -
hi again barryd999, glad your friend got out, and you found the drips site, I'm sure after reading the bloggs you can see how bad a problem it is for some people and the money they have spent trying to leave Diamond Resorts,.. giving members false hopes and offering even more tempting scams just to keep the money rolling in, every excuse telling them they CANT leave unless you die, over 75, etc etc. like your friend buy into more points or change to a better scam ... Groups of members have managed to leave but the last batch were gagged by Diamond Resorts.. I wonder why?? showes just what a company you are dealing with..however did your friend pay Travel and leasure by credit card if so tell him he may be able to claim his money back due to false promises.Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, worth a try..see on martin lewis site
Sorry i didnt see your blogg sooner, dont normaly come on here much now as i spend time on the drips site..0 -
I've just had an offer email from Diamond Resort Holidays offering 25% discount on a package holiday to Kos. The booking process looked pretty normal, the resort looks OK, and there's no mention of timeshare pitches that I can find.
Does this company actually offer regular no-strings holidays, as well as the dreaded timeshare scams?0 -
Look on a holiday website and compare prices, don't just jump because a scam company offers "25% off".
In fact, I'd ignore it outright - you will be pestered from dawn to dusk to purchase a timeshare, and that would not be my idea of a holiday...I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
I just went to the website (http://www.diamondresortsholidays.com/) and asked an advisor whether there was an associate timeshare pitch. The rep (Hazel) said that they were nothing to do with any timeshare company.
The email that I had was from a sender called "Diamond Resort Holidays", with a reply address of onlinesales@yourholidaybooking.com.
It was for a stay at a resort called Diamond Deluxe Hotel, which is very well rated on TripAdisor.
Could the advisor really have been lying through her teeth?0 -
a timeshare rep lying through her teeth?
Such a thing could never happen.
Incidentally, have you ever looked up the word Gulible in a dictionary?I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Just checked that:-
What a lot of first time reviewers have left 5*
It must be a really great place as every one of these people signed up to Trip Advisor to leave glowing comments about Diamond Deluxe Hotel and then never leave any other reviews.
Presumably they were too busy selling timeshares to be able to review any other places.....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -

To be fair, it's also had 4 & 5 star reviews from a number of "senior" reviewers (i.e. people with 10+ reviews to their credit), so although there are alot of suspicious reviews there are also alot of credible looking ones.0 -
A fool and his 25% discount will be soon parted....AVOID like the plague..........But if you are REALLY STUPID then give it a go.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

I am thinking of buying a Diamond Resale, I have stayed for cash on 3 of their different resorts in Tenerife, I have found a resale site and the prices for resale seem really good, to the point I almost feel sorry for the original owners on the huge amount if money they will have lost compared to how much I will be paying for it, and to be honest it appears to be similar in price for the annual dues to another timeshare I own with a very well recognised company. I know a lot of people find the dues very high but I have looked at another timeshare on Tenerife with much lower fees but the standard of resort and rooms was simply not as of such a high standard.0
