Your pickings of quotes were rather specialist. Let see, I would have found another seat, but oh, yeah as I said. The majority of seats were full, the rest - reserved There may be fifteen unreserved seats, but believe it or not people are still going to sit in them.
Did you look in other carriages?
Secondly, I did look in the areas where luggage is meant to be left and, hmm as I said there was no space for luggage, in fact a large amount of the isle was full
If the Aisle was full of luggage and the guard did nothing then the guard would have been contravening the railway safety regulations as there isn't a clear passage.
Thirdly, why is CrossCountry using a system they have no control of - that is ridiculous. A booking reservation direct with the company's website goes straight to Trainline or whoever. This seems in the most part ridiculous.
http://www.crosscountry.trainsfares.co.uk/ thats the company you booked your tickets with.
http://www.firsttranspennine.trainsfares.co.uk (simply picked at random) you can get the same cross country fares as it is the same site simply reskinned for each TOC

A whois check on trainsfares.co.uk states the registrant to be "Trainline.com Limited"

As for the central system, as there are several booking agents you can reserve tickets through ATOC decided it would be easier to have one central seat reservation system.
Brining back the idea that I couldnt be bothered to find another seat, hmm, well that is just stupid.
    I never said that
    a) I have the courtesy to not sit in another persons reserved seat
    b) I would have moved if there were free seats.
According to your complaint you said that you both had the same seat due to the issue, so she could have said the same thing to you.
To be honest d.edna I think you should climb down off your high horse.

Also, doing the journey on my own - I think I am old enough. The big wide world doesn't suddenly change as you turn into an adult does it ?
Im not on my high horse, I mearly pointed out the obvious what alot people might be thinking. Its along journey to make and I wouldn't like a child of mine making it.

You're not so pure yourself, you never did give me a reply after you attacked me for giving a sale of goods act reply to an OP in need. The OP wasn't much better, never coming back either.

What has 'pure' got to do with it. Try some 'RESPECT'. Has this anything to do with this thread  nope! If no one replys/responds it's usually due to the fact that the reply doesn't warrant a response because they are dowright RUDE. We don't all come on here to argue however sometimes, some of you need a kick up the ar*e for your comments to other posters. It's nasty, not nice and not necessary.

I've noticed how new people are attacked on this forum as I was when I first posted a comment. Due to my post count WIG you are going back to when I first came on site and as usual my opinion counted for nothing and I was attacked as a newbie straight away. Oh, and here comes another piece of friendly advice eh d.edna. Nasty, nasty people on this forum!

'pure' is because you are criticising others for doing something which you do yourself, otherwise known as hypocrit or pot kettle black.

Give me an example from me of someone who did not deserve it.

Also justify your attack to me on this thread...and show me how I was downright rude to the OP....

I also question what your post #148 has to do with this thread....?

HaHa funny you should say that, I may be flying out to France on my own next year :D You dont think I will have to stand rather that sit in my seat on the plane do you ?? :D

Anyway I will give you thanks

No you wouldn't be so lucky, they would just bump you off the flight, and make you wait for the next one! Unlikely to be any compensation either cause it probably wouldn't go over the allowed time for it!

    ps hotels do it too....
  • Did I mention your name WIG? I think not. Kettle, black is not appropriate, thank you very much. I was responding to sam93 as I did a couple of weeks ago and told her to get the thread closed (and 'NO' I can't be bothered to go back to find the exact date). I'm not answerable to you or anyone else on this forum and if you want to take things personally then so be it. Bottom line is, new people who come onto the forum are treated like idiots, liars and clueless. So you patronising gits know everything, shame on you, well if the cap fits wear it and I hope you choke on it.

The point I made in my reply to you on that other thread where you attacked me for no apparent reason straight out of the blue and never returned to explain yourself or apologise. was that you were at that time, slating others off on this board (much like you did in post #148 in this thread) and a day or 2 before that you weren't overly polite to me on the first thread that I encountered you, you were infact bordering on rudeness. But anyway you were at the time alledgedly extoling the virtues of pleasantry and answering the OP question. Yet when I did just that on the thread I link to, you came along and attacked me for it.

There is a problem when I see you still posting stuff like #148, from what I have seen of you, you are not much better yourself.

See my reply above. You are a hypocrit. as borne out by this latest quote from you. You have a bad attitude. Infact from what I have seen from you, you appear to be a troll.

EDIT and the point I was making re #148 was that it was not a constructive comment it was divisive, hence also another example of your pot kettle nature.

    What's your answer?

Ok then Wig we beg to differ. Post 148 was support for sam93, I was fed up with the same oh same oh attack on posters. I am not going back over old posts to prove a point. If you can't see what is happening with new posters, shame on you. You post enough to know better. I don't see any point in carrying this on otherwise I'm just like all the rest. Thanks Wigs for you're input that I'm just like all of you (don't think so)!
