Let me know when you write the book about your next train journey.

Several people on here have stated it's a free service. What do you then suggest the compensated amount should be?.

I would suggest compensation for the discomfort of the journey caused by nausea brought on by the seat direction, which was booked to be the other way around. Just because the booking was at no extra cost does not absolve them of any responsibility to supply the direction of the seat that was booked and if this caused pain or discomfort they would be liable to compensate for that. A free guarantee is still a guarantee.

Well I suggest you move to the states then!

Wanting compensation for a free service for the most trivial of things is snobbery and pure pettiness.

You go to Tesco, park in their carpark provided as free service. A Tesco employee damages your car with his trolley train. You would walk away and forget about it?

The wind is up,and someone informs customer service that trolleys are blowing freely around the carpark, they take no action, one hits your car, you do nothing?

You go to a hotel, the lift provided as a free service suddenly jolts causing you injury. You do nothing?

The hotel porter carries your bags up the stairs but places the bag precariously on top of a baggage trolley, your bag falls causing damage, you do nothing?

Your plane leaves at 6am, you ask the hotel for a wake up call, which is duly lodged in the hotel diary and you are assured you will be woken. The hotel fails to call you, you miss your flight, you do nothing?

You take your car for new tyres, the service provider gives a free brake inspection, but fails to spot an obvious and dangerous condition, your car veres off the road on your way home, causing you injury, you do nothing?

No, no no. Hang on Wig. Give me a proper analogy. Damage costs money.

Something more like, you go to a Tesco, park in the carpark provided for free, couldn't find a space facing the direction you quiet liked so you end up with a slight feeling of discomfort & nausea.

Would you claim for that, like !!!! would you!
  • I wish I hadn't have posted a follow up now... in fact I wish I had never posted anything on here in the first place.

Isn't it sad that at least six people on here are having a petty argument, which has not helped me at all.

    Thanks.

And dreamnine... Im not the one arguing on here am I? So I am not the one writing the book. Your attempts of humour are, quite frankly, pathetic. As, I have found, the majority of people on there.

  • Sam93 it's not your fault that you advently came on here looking for advice and got this shower of sh*t for a response. Best to let it go and watch for what you are looking for in the future as opposed to asking the question. As you may well have probably noticed, they don't start any threads, just attack. Good luck in the future :o

Genuine injuries are a legitimate claim same as damage.

That's not a good analogy, there would be no reason for you to blame the nausea on Tesco, and no apparant cause for the nausea which you obviously are discounting as trivial. One therefore hopes that one day in your life, you develop a condition of a similar nature so that people can tell you that you are complaining about an insignificant condition.
