  • Hi smaxx - thank you for your comment.

I can guarantee you that it is not our intention to mislead any of our potential customers.

Unlike many of our competitors, we try not to drop-ship any orders from our suppliers. In fact, we have our own delivery team and fleet of delivery vans which operate from our warehouse in Swindon, Wilts.

For locations further afield - as you mentioned, in the North of England for example - we use a 3rd party courier for which we have to charge a postcode surcharge to cover part of our own costs towards the courier but this is advised to the customer prior to the point of purchase, is in terms and conditions and is stated on the main page of the website.

We plan to keep improving our logistics and delivery further by expanding our operations further to the north of the country which will allow us to cease using the courier.

Please do keep checking our website and blog for updates regarding this matter.

    Kind regards, Jordan.

    Hi all,

    I'm Jordan from appliance-world.co.uk.

We've also got a showroom in Swindon so you can talk to someone face-to-face if that's how you'd prefer to shop. (Buying online can be daunting! but we know that some just like to see the product before they buy too.) :rotfl:

Telephoned this company today. They collected lots of information about me and then asked for my credit card number. Said I wanted to see product first before buying. The man said, "if I turned up at store the item would still be boxed and I wouldn't be able to see it!" I told him we could take it out of the box, but he said we would have to pay in full first! So much for Jordan's comment, "some just like to see the product before they buy too."

After this, searched on web for reviews and came across this site. After reading true reviews of this company would not touch them with a bargepole!

One helpful tip: some individuals and companies refuse to accept recorded delivery letters because they know what the letters are likely to contain. Wasted expense. A better way is to obtain "proof of posting" at the post office (free) and is proof you have posted the letter to a given address. This is adequate in most cases for legal purposes.
  • Appliance-world.co.uk took my cash for a fridge freezer and after 3 weeks we phoned up as we had not heard anything. They could not get the one we wanted and said they had phoned and emailed - they had not. The delay meant that we could no longer get the fridge freezer we wanted from anyone and has really caused trouble - its integrated and kitchen is built. They only offered £10 off a replacement which was £150 more than the one we wanted. Very poor, do not use these people, you have been warned!!
  • We bought a Belling oven in January 2013, very good price. We wanted a particular model, every company we tried could not get it in stock. They quoted a delivery time of 14 days, which we accepted, 3 days later i received a phone call informing me it was ready for delivery, they delivered when stated.

Its like most things, people only complain when things go wrong, rarely post on forums when things go right, yes i have not needed to use the customers service.

no i dont work for them.
