Power (in Watts) = Amps x Volts (P=IV is the actual rule)
60= 19x3.16 approximately
It can also be used to calculate the correct fuse for a plug if you know the power requirements of the device attached to the plug.
Power in Watts/Voltage = Ampage required
So if you have a 2000W heater running from 240V you will need a fuse greater than 8.33 Amps (Probably a 13A fuse)
If you have a 60W halogen light on 240V you will need only a 0.25 A fuse (probably a 1A fuse)To infinity and beyond!0 -

so my laptop would work in car ? right ?0 -
Yes - It is 300W so it will easily power your laptop charger (60W) In fact it could charge 5 laptops of 60W at the same time.To infinity and beyond!0

Scanner, you dont charge it, it gives power from the battery through the lighter socket. You would have no need for it at home, as you have plugs.
Basically just plug it into your lighter socket in your car, and away you go, you have power for stuff!
Hope this helps.0 -

Scan's Today Only offers are a little strange, it shows you the normal price when you look at the product details, but if you add it to your basket from the Today Only page, it will charge you the Today Only price.

That's correct. Easier to do that than update every day for each deal that is on.0

PROVIDED your car cigarette lighter can handle that. Most cigarette lighters are fitted with 10 or 15A fuses.
15 * 12 = 180W less a bit for the power loss of inverting. So if you try and draw more than 150W off it, you are liable to blow a fuse (or two). Fine for a laptop though!
You could rewire the cigarette lighter so that it draws directly from the battery with sufficiently heavy duty wiring/fuse. Not something for the feint hearted.
Also worth considering how efficient it is to convert 12V DC to 230V AC to plug in a transformer to charge a DC device. DC->AC->DC
A better option may be to look at buying an iGo Everywhere power i.e.

Expansys regularly have this on their TodayOnly section for half price.
