I can't speak for others, but they've only whacked my interest rate up since I took a 0% deal on. (I wonder if they do that to sneak it in under the radar when people aren't worrying about paying any)
Nice of Anna to let me know her limit and earnings though, I know where to ask mine to be moved to when it comes to me wanting a new limit now.0 -
thanks guys all info is greatly appreciated i hope my account will have credit increases (due to above mentioned) i am going to look after this account as it could be the key when it comes to the time when i have a perfect credit file and hopefully getting a 0% cardyou cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0

As an extra point, MBNA also regularly have existing customer 0% offers. I'm currently in the middle of a 0% Balance Transfer offer. Thanks to the fact you can transfer money to your current account as a BT it can be very useful as even if you're debt free you can stooze the money straight away where as a purchases card you have to drip feed.0 -

Be careful - only use them for a BT deal if you know you will be able to BT away from them after the offer is up. I haven't been able to do so and they have increased my APR from 17.9% to 26.9% and now 34.9% (in the course of this year) and I have a 4.5k balance that I can't transfer away.
I know they aren't the only credit card company taking advantage of the credit crunch to hike up their rates but be warned!DMP with PayplanDMP Support number 287Trying to lose lbs and save £££s!0 -

You'd still need to have it stuck there for quite some time before you had actually paid more in interest than you would have done by not transferring it in the first place.0 -
Hi Darcy
Was speaking to my dad last night about MBNA, he has had a card with them for over 10 years and he was saying they are in his opinion the best cad company around, he started off with a £1000 limit and now has a limit of £15k, he is also 75 and retired so it seems that loyalty counts as well when it comes to getting limits.;)"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.0 -
only been with them a few months
when i activated the card i got the logn spiel about ppi and fraud insurance, stuck my ground and said i didnt want it
instantly set up a DD for the minimum payment done online
BT's were all done online no need to speak to someone
only thing i have a issue with is that the online access doesnt exactly seem that secure, its just my email addy and password, everyone else i seem to jump thru hoops to get access like username passwords and codes
but as im not using the card for spending and have it stored safely i;d notice if anyone tried anything didgy0 -
thanks for the info guys i received my pin last week now just waiting for my card hopefully it wont be that long and i hope it all goes well with my accountyou cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0
