oooooooooooh, the chappy from the gun club has emailed me back!

He said I can go along any Monday or Friday and try some aspects (air or gas guns) but I'll need a reference before I can use small bore rifles. Things have really changed - when I went before, you were just given a .33 pistol and a box of ammo!!

ooh, I've gone all 'nah, won't bother, too scared' now - I'm such a numpty!!

Go for it, go for it, go for it :T:T:T

my problem is that I get really excited and enthusiastic about something and initially go for it (ie emailing the club, applying for the TV show, saying I'll go somewhere socially) and then about an hour or so later, I get all nervous and scared and inevitably don't do it :o

It's all that silly cow Cruella's fault from the carp I went through at work (I was bullied horrendously - long story) and I can't believe I'm still picking up the pieces over a year after I stuck 2 fingers up to them and took them for what I could. Before all that kicked off 2 years ago I used to do lots and was always out socially but now I just get all stupid and scared. Colleagues I shared an office with would say 'I am picking you up tonight and you ARE coming out' because they knew how scared I got and once I was there, I was fine

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

I really can't say anything because I'm exactly the same - though just because I'm quite shy and nervous. But don't be like me - I think it would be an extra big two fingers up at them to get out there and do what you want to do ;)

Planned a day out with the family and MIL. We had a nice lunch and then went to the winter gardens for a look around.

On the way down the spiral staircase in the tropical greehouse MIL lost her footing and fell really badly resulting in her being taken to hospital by ambulance.

I really thought she must have done some damage but luckily she got away with cuts and bruises but is very shaken.
