Sammy, sorry to hear about your stressful day hun.
BB, you should go, but I'm just the same as you. If I lived nearer, I'd come with you and we could 'shoot our OH's' together

Spud and Sammy - you are both very naughty! :rotfl:
I'd just love to be able to have a go in a sporting competition of some kind. I've never taken part in anything sporty at all! I tried gymnastics, ice skating, badminton and fencing as a kid but was rubbish at them all and never got past 'having a go'. The best thing I've ever done was 2nd place in a race on sports day when I was 6!! That little blue ribbon on a safety pin was cherished for ages.
Years ago, you couldn't keep me in! Iused to be at the pub, in clubs, off to the greyhounds, out ofr meals with work friends. It's weird - like it was a different person who I kind of 'knew'.
I'm not sure what is going on in the world but on my FB friends, my sister is currently 'shocked' a friend is 'confused' and another is 'gobsmacked'. All in the space of the last hour or so - am I missing something here?!

Planned a day out with the family and MIL. We had a nice lunch and then went to the winter gardens for a look around.
On the way down the spiral staircase in the tropical greehouse MIL lost her footing and fell really badly resulting in her being taken to hospital by ambulance.
I really thought she must have done some damage but luckily she got away with cuts and bruises but is very shaken.
The lengths these people will go to for a bit of attention :rotfl:
Seriously, glad she escaped more serious injuries xIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Oh BB you should definitely go. This will sound weird but your life always sounds so interesting to me, I feel envious of all the things you get involved in and get out and do - new job, cookery classes - I am crippled by shyness and would dearly love to have confidence to do things I enjoy and get me somewhere - achieve something.
I have so few friends it's ridiculous and then I look on Facebook and everyone has loads of great photo albums of the things they have done and I think... god if I collated the last year it would be so boring. Don't take a leaf from my book.

me? interesting? Nah.......sadly, my life is get up, go to work or AQA, come home, do the dishes, do the dinner, get !!!!!! off with OH for being a !!!!!! on a daily basis, fall asleep on sofa, go to bed (with lots of MSE intertwined between all those!) . This morning I said - oooh, it's Groundhog Day
I have a crippling fear of driving which also adds to me not doing 'stuff'. I can do work, supermarket, Charlie, park, town and that's about it. The reason I'd never pursued going to a gun club before is that the only other one I found last time was about 5 or 6 miles away and I didn't have the courage to drive there
I nearly fell off my chair when I found this one today literally on my doorstep - less than 5 minutes drive away!
I'm the same with FB pics - I see the albums of family and MSE friends and they all see to be off doing stuff!
I'm terrified about the prospect of teaching the cookery and media relations classes - again, I said 'yeah, I'll do it' and then thought a bit later 'ooooooooh dear'.......(I'm now secretly hoping they all get cancelled due to low numbers:silenced: :shhh: )
I am very, very shy until people get to know me. When I had my hair dyed really red at the beginning of June, I'd only been in the job 2 months, but someone at work said 'it really suits your personality - vivacious' I was gobsmacked !!

Can someone write my work for me? I have zero motivation now I've been let down. If my supervisor doesn't turn up tomorrow then I fail anyway

Gemmzie, why is your supervisor not turning up.. That does not sound fair to me...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
