I was hoping for replies to this thread, as i too want to replace my kitchen. Come on, surely lots of people are having or have had, new kitchens?
It would be good to use a company you can trust from a personal recommendation.

Where do yous live?
I can recommend some in Derry/Donegal.
I'd stay clear of MFI. Not speaking from personal experience - they made a hash of one of our neighbour's kitchens.0 -
I found B&Q to be the most competitive for appliances. They sometimes have deals on appliance packages. One appliance is expensive enough whereas a package of appliances can be cheap enough.0

B & Q free design service (She came to the house) No obligation gave a list to order. Ordered had no problems fitted it ourselves and got a joiner in to do the benches. I did not order any appliances because mine were fairly new. we had a couple of items left over which were refunded no problem. I would order from them again.0

I live in Ards so any company in the North Down or Belfast area would be good.0

Have to agree B&Q are the best, you can order on line, why not get a local company to come and do a design and then order via the web site, not sure if you have B&Q to your part of Ireland, I am sure they are now down south so you may in luck0

Glenwood in Antrim are not bad. We had no choice as they were the sole supplier for our new house. They were very helpful in the showroom but I can't really comment on prices.
Heard their advert on local radio today-they say that they have the biggest showroom in N. Ireland.
Hope this helps!0 -
Thanks to all of you good people who replied. I live Carrickfergus so B&Q are very close at Abbeycentre. Have to admit I didn't think of them. Thought we'd have one company do the lot.
Having it designed then doing most of the work ourselves seems like a good idea. Certainly cheaper! The worktops are obviously the hardest part. We priced Abbey kitchens to supply worktops only and their prices were reasonable and good to deal with.
I like to know I'm saving money!

Check out Empire Kitchens (think that's what they're called) in Whiteabbey village. We got them out for a quote for a laugh as we expected them to be Very expensive. They gave the most competitive quote, no hard sell, very easy to deal with and their fitters, sparks and plumber did a cracking job.0
