Dusty. Re photo. My DD for some reason thinks its her friend who died not long ago. She noticed it after she took the photo. I dont know if anyone has heard of Rainbow children. When GGD was born I said she was one. Only 3 and can talk like a 5 year old. Very bright and inquisitive. Im interested in all sorts like that.
Boddy, that's lovely! Nice to know your GGD has her very own guardian angel!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Is it inappropriate for a just!! 11 year old girly to defuzz their armpits??
No .. if she has hair ... I say that it's just the right time. I remember being at school with a girl who had the most fuzzy armpits at about 12 or 13, but she refused the do anything with them because her mother had forbidden her too ... we thought it was tragic. If she doesn't want to, then that's one thing, if she does .. then I say go for it.
Ah I've been to India tonight too .. I think I just confused the poor lady!!
All I wanted to do was to confirm that I had in fact cancelled a storecard which I thought I had .. but I had forgotten ... it's now meant I've turfed out a whole hanging folder (and means I can get the 20% offer on Laura Ashley again if I ever want to, LOL!)GC - March 2024 -0 -
Carol22 - hugs! One thing I've been very conscious of this last couple of days is keeping my (non-alcoholic!) fluid intake up. Even though it's been overcast, it's been v. v. warm and humid. It's been very easy to just drink free wine during the day along with Pims but I'm currently doing what I did last night - throwing as much liquid down my throat as I can (tea, water etc honest!) to fend off dehydration problems.
But what I'm doing is wrong. I should have been drinking water regularly during the day.
But we live and learn. And I've learned I really am pooped and really am going to bed v. soonI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Thanks all.. re DD2.. she has fuzzy armpits.. muh fuzzier than DD1.. and they are really dark as well.. she is VERY self conscious as it is and I don't want her to feel embarrassed when changing for games etc at high school (she starts on Tuesday) She was only 11 at the end of July!!!! And has got her first bras today too.. she was refusing to wear one so we agreed that she would have one when she started high school so we have done the shopping.. Hopefully she will get used to growing up before AF makes an appearance.. I don't think I can cope with mess!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Thanks everyone for the support and advice - really means a lot to me!
Pigpen - I was around that age when i started shaving my underarms - and I wasn't the first in my class either. I remember being hugely embarrassed by the whole thing as well. Not a fun time.

Yipeee just realised I have actually done some stuff off the list and 2 days of stuff all in one night :j :j :j
Tuesday Chuck!- Master Bedroom & Landing
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
Fling open the window and let in the rain sunnyness
15 minutes floordrobe clearance
Sort through a cupboard and fling everything that is dead
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
Thursday Thrills- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Clear any clutter from desk
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins!
Collect all the dirty laundry
Fill a binbag for charity shop!
House is a nightmare as we're rellocating from the back bedroom to the front so it feels like I'm just moving crap from one location to the next. Tried to do the binbag boogy but unfotunately there wasn't anything really to chuck and it would have been more of a carrier bag boogie :rotfl: :rotfl:
As I can't spend my day tomorrow using avoidance techniques (due to lack of forums:eek: ) I intend to get the house in tip top condition so that to follow the plan will just become a breeze.... I'm just dreaming of all that free time to be created from a feeling that there is nothing that I should/ could be doing with a new highly organised lifestyle :j

Methinks your little girl is becoming a big girl, sympathies and congratulations to her at the same time.
I do hope you've gone to the pub by now ... I'm now deliberating which takeaway to send DH too .... hmmmGC - March 2024 -0 -
re DD2..
Is she more developed than most of her friends, as that may be what's making her feel self-concious. I remember that I was, and was hugely relieved when someone else joined my class who was at the same stage as me. I guess she's probably just not ready to be a teenager! Is her big sister any help?0
