  • And thats not even half of it - I only wrote down 50 (now 41) but i am getting nowhere - i am not even managing pigpen's list now - I just feel hopeless - it will never be any different. the bits i do manage to do are ok but there is so much that needs doing anything I do manage is lost IYSWIM.
I feel really frustrated today and now I am crying and I hate feeling sorry for myself. I just dont know where to start.
    Toots xx

Hi Toots, don't beat yourself up, you are allowed to get upset now and again you know. Don't let it get you down, Go have a cuppa (the old English answer to everything :D ) or go out for a walk or something and get some fresh air. Then sit down with your list, mark off those things that are URGENT and MUST be done (NOT just things you WANT done) and then at least you have your starting point.

Then after you've done those, the best thing is to ignore all else and work on just ONE room at a time - Bathrooms are good, coz they are usually quite small and most of the stuff usually comes out and goes either into another room or washing so you can get it done (you could even put a wash on while you're doing it, so you're not just filling up the wash bin again :D ) then you feel you have achieved something. It is then easier to keep tidy with a S&S each day and although you have loads of stuff still to do, each time you use the loo, you will be in your own little haven (not a great view I understand, but at least you can visit your tranquil place in peace ;) ).

Once you have an achievement under your belt, you will feel better and more able to hit the next room/problem.

This is just my thoughts anyway, someone may have some other ideas which will be much more helpful to you, but before you do anything, take a breather - you obviously need it, step back and then look at stuff - it really helps.

Had back ache all day but it now seems to have moved to my kidneys so not sure if I have got an infection on the way:confused: , not something I have ever suffered from but its just a constant ache.

Shell - I have chronic back pain and have just had a kidney infection so now know how to tell the difference! Most importantly, does it sting when you pee? If so, it may be a kidney infection so a. drink as much water as you can b. if you can get hold of cranberry juice (I juiced frozen ones) drink half a glass (diluted) twice a day c. go the to GP who will need a urine sample to test for bacteria before s/he can give you antibiotics. If it's back pain, try a hot water bottle or tens if you've got it.

Toots - don't let it get you down. Go back to Level 1 on pigpen's list for a bit, sort out your ironing into things that MUST be ironed and things that you can get away without ironing and put the latter away (it'll look smaller, you'll feel better), then divide your list up into urgent & important, non urgent but important, not important but urgent and not important and not urgent. Start with the first category and try to do two things from it. Both the categories with 'Not Important' in them can be ignored for the moment. It's best to draw this up as a grid, as things may move from one section to another (a big piece of paper with post-its is good - you can put it on the wall, and have a row of things you've done down the side). Tell us everytime you've done something, however small, as you know we'll appreciate the achievement!

Polkadot - it might be the stress that's made you late. Don't think about it, but its probably worth doing another one in a week if there's still no sign of AF!

I've done nothing so far today. Work has been more than enough for me :o

Thanks Greenbee will get some cranberry juice when I pop to the shop, not smarting to pee yet (sorry TMI) but pain has gone from middle of low back to sides. Got that feeling you get when you were desperate for the loo but had to hold on, even when i have just been. Oh Bum! really dont need this, maybe the cranberry will do the trick.

Gonna do a 10 min tidy in our room then pop to shop. Everyone requested bacon sandwiches for tea so really easy tonight:D .

Sheeeesh, nevermind that one. I did a search for the comp I won but can't find anything so I thought of asking, but its looking like a warzone in there. Im too scared to ask incase I found it on my own and it was never posted-heaven forbid I get reprimanded for "being a newbie that doesnt cntribute to the board".
Why all the arguing in there?
