    Hello all.

we sent a follow up fax to the club on Friday

why a fax? how do you know that they received the fax and that it will be passed on to the right person?

I would have sent a letter by recorded delivery or even special delivery.
  • People believe women? Not sure they do generally.

Everyone is an easy target once they have had a few drinks,(depends on what you are being targeted for) unless you are tea total or can get drug tested or the like not too many people are likely to believe you didn't just over do yourself.
I can imagine this con goes on a lot, especially in a club that may well cause embarrassment. Slipping receipts in the persons pocket obviously has caused doubt, it would be a good con, don't you think.

Read up the effects of the drugs.

So true - I used to get drunk on white wine, and although I wasn't totally wrecked I struggled to remember the latter half of the night

I even stood up and did karaoke once - something I have always sworn I would never, ever do !

You haven't woken up recently with £4k that you have no recollection of earning have you? ;)

    ...problem?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I hope the OP gets something sorted out
Did I believe him ? Yep-one thing in his first post stood out for me.....that he had NO recolection at all and he'd never experienced that before. Some people drink and don't remember-others do-it might be hazy in parts but you do remember. I had one experience of waking up with no recollection of the latter part of an evening out or how I got home-luckilly I was with friends who mad sure I did. Waking up to a complete blank is scary-if you are not used to it !
Mine was caused by drinking on top of an innoculation that day (I was travelling abroad for an extended trip shortly after and needed loads) I wasn't warned not to drink after it and certainly hadn't drunk excessively (3 or 4 over the course of the evening according to my friends). Certainly no more than a normal Saturday night out and not enough to get me in that kind of a state. I've never experienced a blank like that before or since (even when drinking a LOT more) so yes I do believe it was chemically induced
So yes from the off I believed his drink may have been spiked-everything he said was credible and nothing he has said since has implied otherwise.
I'm sure these places rely on embarassment and disorientation to ensure they are not called on this. I would however suggest to the OP that all correpondence goes to his solicitor and he doesn't reveal his address to the club-as a precaution.

    MSE Florida wedding .....no problem
  • Dying to know how the OP gets on with this !!!

(In case, it ever happens to me !!!!)
