they were in stock not long ago.. I can't afford it now as I failed my first driving test yesterday so need to save money for a couple more lessons and another test

but I'm gonna hold out and get one just after christmas. The £100 is valid until 31st december.. prices won't go up between now and then.. even if the £40 off at currys runs out.. someone else will have it as cheap..

You need to click a link on the canon uk web site, enter info from you camera barcode and a stick on the box for this (It might be called imagegateway), you get a confirmation note via email then some outfit in Holland mail you a SANDsik 256meg unit. Mine took about 7 weeks to arrive

A few hoops but worth it for a card that is worth around £10.

Ebuyer.com have lots of fast CF with free P&P also Jessops price match 7dayshop (who don't charge VAT) well my local one did.

Remember if FRAME RATE IS IMPORTANT to you get som x66 flash or faster for this camera!

I agree I paid £599 for one for the Mrs in July 2005 and that was a price match @ Jessops!

If you get one from Jessops they can throw in 50 free 7x5 prints. Good after sales too, they loan you a unit while yours is being repaired.

as its not possible to regret it if u take the free shipping it is a bargain. ideal for mass storage absolutely cracking value i have 3 of these to make the most of the raw and large jpeg setting on the camera i went to the zoo recently had the ability to take around 1200 shots (didnt but could have) bear in mind it aint that fast because it is a little hard disk drive rather than a memory chip and is good for only bursts of 3 or 4 max before the speed of the camera overtakes the write speed.
just make sure if u want to use the fast shutter speeds and multiple exposures get at least a 66x card as previous post.

the 256 card u get free from canon is only available with products that feature a large silver sticker on the box as it has a serial number for u to register so it can only be used once.

The only way I can justify the purchase is with the currys discount, the egg discount and cashback and the mastercard cashback.

I just hope it comes back on Currys website as otherwise no purchase for me...
