It is no good having them in store, as the egg 10% is only valid if you by online. :-(

How can it be discontinued? Its Canon's current model and unless I am mistaken there is no new model on the horizon.

Its more likely that Currys have removed it from their website as they can't afford to sell it for £460 once the discount codes have been applied!

But surely currys get the full £520, does canon and egg not pay out the discounts. So effectively it makes no difference to currys.

also does anyone know how currys issue the reciept...i have recieved the camera in a box but no reciept?

correct.
The discount is provided directly by canon in conjunction with mastercard not currys and as such there is no reason u cannot get your £100 cash back then get a full £559 refund for the camera from currys, as this is the figure u paid on your receipt except for the fact that the barcode is missing because you have sent it off to get the £100 pounds from canon.
on the one i bought it had a sticker over the original barcode one so i have replaced the cardboard cutout and replaced the slightly larger sticker over the top
