Its more likely that Currys have removed it from their website as they can't afford to sell it for £460 once the discount codes have been applied!
I was thinking that Currys might have removed it because they have seen a massive purchase of these cameras and all stock has been used up. I am hoping that Currys will be ordering more from Canon and when they receive stock will put it back on the web site.
I went and had a play with the camera in my local Jessops today. It felt very good. The guy in the shop told me that current Jessops price of £570 was the best around including the internet...! I didn't mention the currys offer through egg, but I would be highly surprised if they would price match this, especially as currys don't have it available now.
I did wonder if the currys 10% egg deal could be used to purchase from the PCWORLD website? They are all under the DSG group and all appear to use the same database as the product numbers on the Currys/Dixons and Pcworld site are they same.
The Link to the Currys page from the EGG homepage is: http://www.currys.co.uk/index.php?camp_id=egg. I wonder if we tried using the link http://www.pcworld.co.uk/index.php?camp_id=egg would it give the same 10% cashback?
Anyone fancy trying it?0 -
i managed to somehow order it by typing in the sku. wouldnt go into my basket on its own, but would if i got the case or 1g card with it. am hoping this will create a back order so will get it when it comes in
got e mail confirmation ok0 -
great.
Signed up for egg card only because of this offer.
Egg card still not here, egg has dropped offer to 5% not 10%.
Anywhere else I can get this cheaper still?Tim0 -

I did the same, and haven't received anything from egg either. Have you had a confirmation or anything by email even?0 -

Cash back is still 10% for the Egg Money.
Egg Card (Visa) = 5%
Egg Money (Mastercard) = 10%
I applied for card last Monday - it said 5to7 days before delivery - nothing arrived yet :-(0 -

Not much use now anyway if Currys are no longer stocking the camera.0 -
Indeed - the camera is actually still there, I noticed it during a search yesterday, but it says 'unavailable due to high demand'
Such a good deal, and I've wanted this camera for over a year, saw this thread a little too late and missed out badly :- (
Anyhelp in getting a little closer to the psychological £399 barrier would be appreciated!Tim0 -
This offer isn't really over as there is still £100 cashback.. and there will be more places offering the 350D cheap before the end of december when the mastercard offer ends.0
-
I agree - the offer is still valid for £100 cashback till 31/12/2005.
The currys 10% Egg Money offer is still valid. The 2% Egg Money cashback is still valid. The Currys £40 off over £500 is still valid.
We just need to wait for Currys to get more stock of the camera!
It is really annoying as PCWORLD (same company) have availability.0 -
Currys has the camera in stock now. Just checked BUT without the lense. Is it worth buying the lens seperately I wonder.....Or play the waiting game until the lens kit is included.
PC world includes the lens kit and its cheaper. I think they are playing games with us.0
