Ok (ish!) havent had one which is good but finding it really hard and have been eating instead! Luckily most of it has been slimming world friendly but definately given the syns a bit of a battering today - tomorrow is going to be tough in work but I will not give in!

    **may hit someone though!**

Have been drinking loads as well - is that normal I wonder?

Hi Penguin...you'll soon get used to not smoking.Well done on the 1st day.
The beauty of SW is you can eat as much as the free food as you want so at least that helps.

Ooh look how long since I was last here! V naughty of me and can you guess why I have been avoiding it? Because I have failed miserably in my attempts to quit smoking - so annoyed with myself. I got to day 3 and lit one without even thinking and then thought 'oh well blown it now' when I could have just put it out - I am my own worst enemy. Anyways attempt number 2 to commence shortly but will be speaking to the NHS stop smoking peeps to see whats available.

Aside from that I have 4 whole days off work this week which is a bit of a novelty and I am loving it! Cheltenham Festival is on too - so have been able to watch that (I will go for the whole 4 days when I am debt free!)

Moneywise not too bad - on budget for this month OH work still crap but have got used to the lesser money now, all bills paid - only minimums mind but as most of the debts are with DCA's all the payments are reducing debt as no interest to pay.

BarclayLoan phoned before to do the 3 month review and offered me reduced settlement of 1800.00 (current balance 3300.00) spread over 4 payments of 450.00 pm - I was sooo tempted but just cant afford it at the minute - why couldnt they have offered it this time last year! Fella was really nice and left payments as they were for 6 months but to call them if I wanted a settlement figure at any time - so thats something to work towards!

DD had a great birthday last week and we hardly spent anything - got her a good few presents but nothing expensive and had a tea party at mum and dads - was dreading explaining to her that she couldnt have a party at the indoor play centre as she asked for because we couldnt afford it but she didnt mind - forget how unassuming kids are!

DS birthday on Saturday coming and again no big spends but he is v easy to buy for - wont do a party for him as he hates them but family will pop round with presents while he hides in the kitchen - will take him to the local farm which is free entry as he loves watching the animals.

Everything else ok-ish at the min - work has been tiring and as such the house is a pigsty so will be doing that while I am off - should be getting the results of my latest assignment in the next few days which I am dreading as first one for this tutor so fingers crossed

Food shopping - will definately be back tomorrow - no more hiding! x x

Penguin I think ur doing amazing, even with the min payments as you say there reducing the debt.
As for smoking, dont bully urself, it was not a failure, it was merely a blitch in the system and for whatever reason the cold turkey didnt work for you.
Id be glued to the Chetlenham festival, but unfortunately behind a week with OU and got to get TMA in by Sat, its the 1st one as well.........
Haveing a treat 2mor taking dd to see Marley and Me (2 4 1 orange- so very mse).
Glad dd enjoyed her birthday, and hope sons goes as well, the day at the farm sounds fun, the way I look at it with presents etc, were the ones who get them the things throughout the year, so dont feel guilty.
DD wants a wii for her birthday and although her birthday not till Sept, I've told her that I just cant do it, shes haveing a party, hopefully she'll have one at xmas as mum and dad are going to help out, and save vouchers etc for it.
    xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Hi Penguin...don't kick yourself over the smoking...it takes many attempts to give up properly.I went to my DRs and got tablets from there....the champix seem to work really well for me.
DD and DSs birthdays sounds lovely...children don't need a lot of money spent on them...love and time is whats needed most.
I'm sure your results will be fine.

Ooh I seem to have escaped the move so far to the new board!

DS's birthday today so have just got back from my mums - he has had a great day and is now exhausted bless him!

No exciting news on the money front at the moment - going to work out our updated totals but I think the debt solely in my name is about 15k now and OH less than 20k - sounds much better broken down like that!

Did a fair amount of housework today but have got to get started on the decluttering - hmm may need to make a list. I love lists!!!

Hope everyone is well. See you soon x x
