Hi everyone, hope we all had a good christmas.

We had a lovely morning when OH came in from work just me him and the kids opening the pressies. We have decided not to buy for each other this year. It seemed pointless to spend money when we are trying to cut back - so romantic!

Went to parents for the afternoon for dinner and more presents - kids got a ridiculous amount of stuff off the family so will have to figure out where to put everything. Mum and Dad had a row over the cooking of the dinner which happens every year - youd think after 32 years of being together they would have agreed on a way to cook dinner! Wouldnt be Christmas without it though - ha ha!

OH work has been busy which is a relief to say the least. I am going to work out the money for January over the next few days so we can back in to debt busting again. He is out all night tonight, tomorrow and Sunday and did all night Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so by Monday that will have been 5 in a row.

    We currently have

    65.00 in bank account
    1000.00 due in on 31/12
    570.00 in house
    100.00 in cheques (christmas money)

but I want to make sure I have covered all the essential bills and direct debits before I go mad and pay it all off the MBNA card and then realise we have to money to buy bread (have done that before now!)

Not much more to report at the min - stayed the same at SW this week which I was pleased with as had a meal out with work and a lot of vodka with it!

See you all soon x x

Hopefully Lucielle - really want to make a big dent in the debt this year but things have a habit of getting in the way!

Really, really have to do some housework today. Decluttering is on hold until January so everywhere just having a good tidy at the minute.

Going to do kitchen, living room and hall today - shouldnt take too long just have to find someway of putting all the kids new toys vaguely tidy.

Meeting some school friends tonight in town so need to take kids to parents, see to horse, get ready and then make way into town. Its going to be a rush but what the hell - dont get to see them very often so really should make the effort (the old me would have cried off but am now making more of an effort to keep in touch with friends!)

So I will see you all later, have a good Saturday x x

Evening all - last update of 2008!

Been in work today and it was dead. Went to do the horse and everything is just iced up there - its lethal, have put an extra rug on her tonight to make sure that she stays warm - she actually looked quite snug!

Not doing anything tonight but I am opening and counting my sealed pots that have been going for a year so looking forward to seeing how much is in there (probably about 12p!)

I got 94% on my first assignment for my degree so really pleased with that = lets hope I can keep it up.

All in all not too bad a year - started awful when I nearly lost the horse but she is looking as well as ever now, not paid off as much debt as I would have liked but still managed about 12k - so not terrible by any stretch, work has settled down and I am enjoying it again, Ive started my degree at long last and I am 2 stone lighter than this time last year! My son was diagnosed on the 27.12.07 and 1 year later he has made such amazing progress. I am so proud of him and my daughter for being so considerate and understanding towards him considering she is only 5. Lots of love to OH as well for all the hard work, long hours and lack of sleep he has had this year in a job that I know he hates - it is much appreciated!

This year I really want to focus on the debt and the house and keeping in touch with friends as well as continue with the weight loss.

Thank you to everyone who has offered encouragement, advice and support to me and I am truly thankful to everyone for that.

I hope that 2009 is an amazing year for everyone and all our hopes and dreams are realised.

    Lots of love and hugs x x x x
