It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Here's Puds - He only has full use of 3 of his legs as he got one shot by a farmer in Belgium

I feel a bit :o about admitting this, but I've just submitted a DLA online application form. Over the years I've just 'got on with it' and fitted my life around it and feel a charlatan for even considering it, but, it's in now and they make their own judgement.

I just don't like being seen as any 'different', most people now wouldn't realise I have a problem because I can either cover for it, or make adjustments - ie - I can't drive a manual car as I can't feel the clutch as I have no sensation in my left leg below the knee - so I swapped to an automatic. I'm a thousand times better than when I was really poorly, but it's a lifelong situation now. I just think - loads of people worse off than me. Working in a hospital for 8 years teaches you that!!
