richer sounds- can't count, can't listen, is there anything they CAN do?

    no choice, and its a 20-odd mile round trip each time

    From what I know, RS used to be very good but not anymore, and complaints like yours are more common. Places selling tellys are everywhere.

  • if its a new tv, should have got a replacement- contract is between you and richer, not the manufacturer
    Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
    Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)

    I've had a couple of TV's from Richer sounds now, very good prices and had good service from them, just my 2 pence!

    as others have carefully suggested, write to the correct department. give them 14 days to reply.

    it's tempting to go into the store and reclaim goods to the value of what you are owed of course!!!

  • update- spoke to them again today (must be 10th phonecall) and i finally got answers (from store manager)
    tv has been repaired, he thinks what has happened is totally not on and by this weekend i WILL have a working tv. its due in on friday, repaired and everything, if it doesnt turn up, he will sort another out, either way as soon as delivery comes he will be checking for my tv and phoning me with arrangements for sunday when i can make it to store.

    my email stated that in 7 days i wanted either my tv working or a replacement, and mysteriously less than 24 hours later 'the store manager will be in touch'

    I have only used Richer Sounds once... bought a freeview box but the picture was rubbish (it was the box at fault not my aerial) so I took it back as it said you could return items. Took about 20 mins talking to the manager to get my money back.

    Not great customer service.
