If the prices have gone up today surely its best to give them your latest readings so that they cant over estimate your bill with the new prices

I've taken my readings today. :T

I take readings every week as a matter of course and highlight the ones like todays where there are changes ie: price increase, meter reading given to e-on, last bill meter readings, etc

My reading is due on the 29th August so I have sent them online today. Last time I think they just made the figures up and in my opinion it was done in thier favour

Has anybody asked them yet if tomorrow's price increase applies straight away to their online tariffs ("online extra saver" etc.) ?

Last time their standard tariffs went up there was a delay of about a month before their online tariff also went up (that was on 1'st June this year).
  • I hope that the 9% discount sill applies in Oct 09. On my energy saver tarriff it said that 9% discount would be guarenteed until atleast April 09. My fixed tariff said price protected but not discount!!
Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:

Many thanks to MSE, capped my electricity with E.on a few weeks back. I have never done this before and as I was an existing E.on customer, it was really easy and I received my confirmation letter a few days later.
    Same here ;)

I switched to Eon earlier this year after Npower hiked up their prices. I since looked at capping (as per Martin Lewis) but didnt feel confident about what I was doing and didnt want to risk losing the discount rate I had in place so decided to leave things as they were.
Now we get this whacking great increase even though oil prices have been falling (a bit) lately - Of course it was predicted so I shouldnt be so shocked but it makes me wonder what's the point of switching, it makes little, if any, difference and we just go running back and forth like lemmings.
Surely there's got to be a better and fairer way forward? The situation is a joke, only it's not at all amusing.
After I last switched I was telling people that they ought to look at doing the same (to reduce bills and increase competition). Some would say, "Whats the point? Who ever it is will only put them up too!" Sadly this is the case.

In the case of a dual fuel switch to either BG or SP, 60.00-62.00 cashback for sake of typing in a few personal details has to be worthwhile. ;)

My switch to E.O.N was only completed early August with 70.00 cashback paid at the end of July, Ive just applied to go back to BG.;)
