Yeah just got it on radio 4.
Wonder if the rest will announce price rises quicker now.0 -
Capped a couple of weeks ago - phew! (Existing e-on customer).
I, like thesmiddy, had never capped before either. I just took Martin's advice.
Will have to start budgeting now for a years' time when the capped rate finishes.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Hmmm, I capped last week (already an EON customer with electric and now taking gas from them too). I was promised that the amount I agreed to on that day would be the amount I pay during my capped period but have heard that as it takes a couple of weeks for it all to go through I might end up paying more...0

Just in case you are not aware Eon's price increases came into effect today. I have just rang them re my existing tarriff and they informed me of this. :mad:0

Well, just done some 'back-of-an-envelope' calculations and it looks like the Price Protection 17 differential has been more than swallowed up in one go.
I intend to keep a running total on the savings made, and squirrel away the difference ready for the inevitable jump in October 2009.

When comparing how much better or worse off you are for capping, remember to check out the lowest tariff on the market (or at least the lowest tariff with the company you have capped with).Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
Good thinking Geoff, the !!!!!!s will get us all in the end! By Oct 09 that could be some jump indeed.0

Glad I managed to make an online switch to the capped tariff a couple of weeks ago. Better prepared for the next likely rise not much longer after New Year.Where there's a will, there's a way to get something cheaper from somewhere else!!
