Right Maz-as I suspected, you do not have oily skin!
you have nice normal skin-CEASE AND DESIST using tea tree products! They will be too harsh and cause your acid mantle (ph balance) to be stripped and cause over oil production

Spots on the chin are mainly hormonal-sorry.

If you switched to a more gentle regime, you will find that the majority of your so called 'skin problems' will stop.

    thanks missus!

so can i use simple (or other brand if you recommend) wipes? i do prefer wipes, can't actually remember the last time i washed my face over a sink!
and a nice moisturiser... pre tea tree oil in last 6 months, i used nivea visage Q10, it was quite nice, gave my skin a nice glow for a while afterwards....

i was thinking about opting for a gradual tan kinda face cream... does anyone know anything about these?

Maybe a tinted moisturiser is the way to go......

i couldn't see me using foundation every day TBH.

    Here goes;
    1. what is your skin like in the morning when you wake up?
Dull but neither greasy or dry
    2. how are you currently taking care of it?
Wash twice a day with Bodyshop seaweed face scrub, try and remember to moisturise every day with superdrug own brand spf 15 thingy
    3. do you get a 'shine' on your face? If so, what time of the day and where?
On my nose, chin and skin round my nose if you get what i mean - also my forehead sometimes - mainly during the day
    4. do you get spots? if so, where?
All the time! Pretty much anywhere, but worst on my nose, chin and neck
    5. tell me about your lifestyle ie, diet, fitness, etc
Eat healthily at home but rubbish at work, try and exercise reguarly but have been slacking for a few months, just starting to pick it back up. I know I dont drink enough water - its a life time habit i'm always trying to break!

    So whats the verdict?
    Thanks!

  • Oops! Sorry Sar! didn't see your reply!

Right, you're cleaning it regularly, but are you moisturising? It sounds like you have more of a normal-to oily skin (not REALLY oily as I know you!!!!) so using a good cleanse/tone/moisturise regime is quite important...

    1. use a nice gentle cleanser 2 times a day (tea tree is ok)
    2. use a toner after to remove any excess cleanser
    3. use a nice light day cream/lotion

Very important to do 2 times a day, do not sleep in makeup (can clog pores and lead to spread of spot making bacteria)

    Do not skip moisteriser!

DO NOT pop spots, or pick! It will lead to spreak of bacteria and more spots!

Clean pillow cases frequently, and same with things like phone so you're not spreading oil back onto face.

    Exfoilate 1-2 times a week-I love the No.7 one!

Sorry to change the subject slightly but I am a bit naffed off. Why can we not have a thread on the forums anywhere for giving stuff away. We had a discussion about this the other day about books etc... I have just tried to give a couple of things away on freecycle and the moderator hasn't posted them for some reason...

It would be nice if we could say - I have a couple of books - does anyone want them, or even a cross trainer:rotfl: that doesn't get used, without getting deleted. Whats the harm...

What do you lot think! And yes I know I could ebay them, but I work full time, with studying and part time work, demanding kids and OH and I honestly haven't got the time to ebay:o

    it is annoying i agree.

but then people do share stuff here with people they "know" if they know someone wants/needs it.

i suppose if we were to start posting up our unwanted stuff then people we don't know, would come and just take stuff, for car booting or whatever.... similar to what happens in freecycle...........
