  • Here's one for you bun... how can I stop looking like a spotty teenager? lol I use some tea tree oil foaming facewash stuff from bodyshop which was good (if expensive.. lucky I had a gift voucher :D) and helped a bit but still have bad skin.

i can only aspire to have fabby make up....

I use tea tree wipes and mattifying moisturiser to try to stay spot free but at 34 my face still insists on the puberty look!

Any make up on top of spots is just wrong in my mind, and i can't cover them up as they just go sort of flakey looking... so i don't bother.....

I have that benefit lip gloss too! thanks Martin :money:

If you wanted foundation, have you tried the mineral (powder) ones? It sounds like your skin's very similar to mine and I think it's great stuff, doesn't look like a mask but just evens things out. Doesn't make spots worse and actually still looks ok at the end of the day, whereas normal foundation seems to turn into an oil slick by lunchtime on me :o

Hmmmmn, are you suggesting i spend money?! lol!

If i do put make up on, for say a wedding or something, then i would use concealer on shadows and blemishes, i have a broken vein on my cheek and some old scarring from spots... then i would touch over with pressed powder and that's it...

i wouldn't go near a cosmetics counter in a department store, i'm far too common for that kinda thing!

your stuff sounds good though.... i will invetigate...

I have applied mascara and lipgloss today in honour of this daily chat!

i wonder if anyone will notice!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Errr, no, honestly, I'm suggesting you get Boots vouchers from surveys or somewhere and use them.. well, if you want to of course! :D I've got the Maybelline one at the moment and really like it, it's keeping the spotty chin I developed on holiday at a reasonable level of decency  I find Clearasil Ultra cream really good for spots as well, though you have to be careful you don't bleach anything with it..

qvc does a mineral based range of cosmetics (can't remember the name - bare essentials or something like that I think) and I think qvc is on a cash back site somewhere?

One of my biggest probs is getting eyeliner to stay put. I have tried LOADS and I mean loads ,pencils & block type, expensive & cheap, and none of the bu$$ers work, just disappears quickly or ends up smudged in the socket.
