Whenever i'm unsure I tend to check the who's who on MSE nerds on Facebook!

Of course that only works if they've put their MSE username there in the first place.

    Hello and good afternoon all
Oh I love make up even though I don't wear it very often in fact I don't do very much of anything really lol
I am really naughty and use soap to wash my face and I don't alway cream either tut tut But when I do I use sanctuary eye brighting cream for around my eyes and sanctuary day cream with 15 spf. I don't suffer with spots in fact the last time I had one was in jan and it was only small.. I eat well lots of fruit I drink lots of water and very rarely have chocolate........ I just really need help with buying make up I never know what to get so would love someone to help me get a good basic kit together I properly have most of it I just don't know how to use it!!!

I can empathise with that Jet. My Mum is chronically allergic to all cosmetics and cleansers (The only facial cleanser she's found that doesn't strip her skin off is Nu soap by YSL - how expensive is that!!!!!) and I didn't have a lot of (in fact any) girly friends so I was never around anyone with the knowledge or the desire to experiment with cosmetics so I just didn't get into the way of it.

My make up kit consists of browns essentially and neutral lipsticks. I'd love to have the knowledge/confidence to pull of something a little less neutral...:o

:rotfl: @ the lolcat - glad I'm not the only one who does that when I'm bored :o

Loving the makeup talk :) I get loads of tips off my mum, she did makeup for years too like Bun. Btw, have you ever thought of doing wedding makeups on a Saturday Bun? My friend makes a fortune doing it!

It's 90% confidence Luc, I'm fairly daring with eye makeup but very naff with lips, cheeks and hair!
